Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's Elizabeth and James brand has launched two fragrances for women, Nirvana Rose and Nirvana Bourbon.
Nirvana Rose ~ "Elizabeth and James Nirvana Rose is a seductive floral blend embodying the heart of a dark rose with notes of rose de mai, geranium, and vetiver for a sultry, refined scent with intrigue. Bringing a lightness to Nirvana, the scarlet toned bottle with rich gold accents blends feminine curves with contrasting architectural lines."
Nirvana Bourbon ~ "Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon is a provocative blend of sultry vanilla bourbon, oakwood, and a hint of tuberose for a bold, oriental-woody scent with intoxicating confidence. Bringing a lightness to Nirvana, the amber toned bottle with rich gold accents blends feminine curves with contrasting architectural lines."
Elizabeth and James Nirvana Rose and Nirvana Bourbon are available at Sephora (currently VIB Rouge customers only), in 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum and in a travel-sized rollerball.

Oh my! I like the sound and look of these 2. I haven’t spent much time with the original 2, so maybe testing all 4 warrants a trip to the mall. I can’t tell you the last time I went fragrance shopping/testing. And we’re already in Aug! Eeeeep! I’m so behind! Haha!
I don’t know when they go on sale to “regular” customers, but I hope to try them too!
I’m unexpectedly excited about this! Plus, I’m a huge fan of the bottle colors.
They do look nice.
Omg I am too excited for this!!! The past few days I’ve been thinking about boozy fragrances in general. I LOVE Nirvana Black and has been on my list forever, even before I started getting so into fragrances. I wonder if these are made to layer as well?
You pretty much decide what you want to layer 🙂
Have to say the bourbon one sounds pretty good. I liked the first two they did.
The bourbon one does sound nice. I’ll give it a sniff if it’s made more widely available. I wanted to like the Black one, but I’ve discovered that I’m anosmic to some sandalwood molecules, so I don’t think I could smell it properly.
Uhm, what feminine curves?
I was wondering too!
This article got me excited as I love Nirvana Black. The bottles for the new scents are gorgeous but I’m on a rollerball budget at the moment. Sephora only had Nirvana Bourbon rollerball at the moment so I got it and have requested to be notified when Nirvana Rose becomes available. I’ll report back. 🙂
Great – please do report on your thoughts!
Hi Springpansy. The Bourbon rollerball arrived today. I’m not great at described fragrance but I love it! I think it will be great for Fall and will be in competition with Nirvana Black. 🙂
The Nirvana Rose will arrive next week.
Have a great weekend!
Nirvana Rose arrived and I love this one too. It is a deep rose, not light and airy. So glad I have both of these new scents!
rollerball budget – cute 😉
I like the bottles and these sound interesting enough to try. I didn’t love the first two – just my personal fragrance taste – but thought they were well done.
I initially loved the first two fragrances, but they quickly faded to meh on me once the top notes went. I’m generally not a bottle person but they do a great job – don’t see any “feminine curves” though.
I didn’t care for the first two scents . I will definitely try these when they’re available .
Bottles are gorgeous!
Nirvana Black is one of my go to cool weather frags in the department store category so I’m curious to see what these smell like. White was a bit too generic for my tastes, but I do love spicy roses and woody vanillas, so will keep my fingers crossed.
Gorgeous bottles for both of these. Liked Nirvana Black quite a bit, so I’m intrigued by the new scents.
Heh, as I sat in the dentist’s waiting room this morning I opened the June issue of Allure magazine with Elizabeth Olsen on the cover. Inside were scent strips for Nirvana Black and Nirvana White.
Black reminds me of another vanilla-woods scent, but I can’t think of the name. White reminds me of a floral soap I bought years ago at Crabtree & Evelyn when their shops were in every shopping mall.
I liked them more than I remembered, and more than enough to want to try the new Rose and the Bourbon.
Black really reminds me of Ormande woman, and it was the first perfume I bought on first sniff, without “living with it” for a while.
Black really is appealing so I can understand an instant purchase. If I were in Sephora and my defenses were down I would go that way, too.
