Niche line Vilhelm Parfumerie will launch Modest Mimosa later this month.
Introducing, MODEST MIMOSA, a charming and seductive scent inspired by the delicate, yet tenacious, mimosa flower.
Known for folding its petals inwards to protect itself from danger, the mimosa flower is a study in opposites, existing simultaneously and seamlessly; it does not boast or force itself upon its audience yet, “is widely regarded for its tenacity – spreading its growth as soon as it takes root.” Jan Ahlgren, Vilhelm Parfumerie founder adds, “it reminds me of the Monarch butterfly, which also appears delicate, but flies over 3,000 miles during migrations. There’s a fascinating juxtaposition I was keen to explore.”
To capture the flower’s delicate, yet confident attitude, Ahlgren blended top notes of Neroli and Carrot with middle notes of Mimosa Coeur and Violet followed by dry notes of Salted Musk and White Leather. The result is a fragrance that begins soft and subtle, yet builds and emboldens as it familiarises with the skin. The substantial sillage allows this coquettish scent to linger in the air, hinting that the source of its beauty might still be nearby.
Vilhelm Parfumerie Modest Mimosa will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Sounds pretty interesting 🙂
Really like the packaging 🙂
It does sound worth trying!
I love the name of this perfume!!
The alliteration makes it fun to say aloud, and the goldeny-ness of the bottle and label are lovely.
I would love to give this a sniff.
And easier to live up to 🙂
Sounds good, if very Vilhelm. This puts them at 3 to 4 launches this year so far? Strike while the iron’s hot I suppose. I tested their new lilac and it seemed interesting enough. Wish they came in smaller bottles.
