I think the most interesting this is your comment, Robin, on the masculine announcement, that readers have emailed you about highlighting masculines vs. feminines. Though I always have to clarify that no, I’m not wearing “cologne.”
Yeah…forgot that comment, but I still get those complaints. I still think the vast majority of consumers will not buy something marketed to the opposite sex.
That makes me sad. It reminds me of Kevin’s Mitsouko review, the “Mishima” thought.
Oh, but why be sad? Most people don’t care much about fragrance to begin with, they just want to buy one or two and be done with it. That’s as it should be, we can’t all care about everything.
That’s interesting because my parents who are both approaching the eighth decade wear the opposite…my mother likes mens cologne and my dad will wear stuff marketed towards women…maybe because of their age they don’t care? For them it is whatever smells good….whatever they like…..
The notes sound right up my alley. I’m going to have try both forms. Hope I hate them bc my list is too long as it is ????
Good luck — hope they smell like swill 😉
To me, the notes sound like one of those fruity shampoos they used to sell, like – Herbalesence Green Apple and Peach – Oh, I used to have some of that! 🙂
I’ve “crossed the line” some time ago and really don’t care who they officially market a fragrance to. If I love it (I don’t buy things I merely like anymore), I get it. HOWEVER, if the bottle is heinous, I’ll stash it in a drawer, regardless of the scent’s intended audience. Having said all that, Creed does nothing for me. I gave a big bottle of GIT to my little brother and he was thrilled… until he ran out and went to buy a replacement bottle!
