Italian niche brand i Profumi di Firenze has launched La Notte di Angelica, a new chypre perfume for women.
Comforting yet sensual; light yet deep, this perfume offers a beautiful complexity that allures with its beguiling simplicity. La Notte di Angelica is the first chypre perfume creation by I Profumi di Firenze master perfumer, Dr. Giovanni di Massimo. Created as his poetic ode to women, this soulful elegant fragrance gently delights with top notes of fresh bergamot, mandarin and pink pepper. Floral heart notes of rose, magnolia, jasmine, ylang-ylang and purple iris of Florence are given a sensual, pheromone-rich depth with creamy notes of beeswax and honey. Wood elements of ebony, cedar and amyris with whisper of patchouli serve as the base giving the perfume an overall sense of graceful elegance…subtle, head-turning perfection.
I Profumi di Firenze La Notte di Angelica can be found now at Twisted Lily, $120 for 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

I’m feeling incredibly dense here. I initially skipped over this after reading the word “angelica” which is a note I really dislike. Now I see it’s not listed in the notes, and without it this sounds rather nice. Is it just missing from the ad copy, or are my neurons misfiring?
Your neurons are functioning just fine. It is not listed (I double-checked), and so either a) it’s a mistake or b) it doesn’t have an angelica note.
Thanks, Robin. I’m guessing it’s simply “The Angelic Night” then. Somehow the literal translation completely escaped me (dang neurons.) 😉
Hey, the internet allows us to compensate for neuron misfires, right?
I’ll buy that!
