Vogue creative director at large Grace Coddington will introduce her debut fragrance for Comme des Garçons, Grace by Grace Coddington, this month.
“I so don’t like change. I’ve always loved the smell of roses and the first fragrance I ever wore was rose water. Over time, I’ve experimented with everyone else’s version of Rose, and even got sidetracked by some others along the way. Now I’ve arrived back at the point I first started, with Rose. Except this time, it’s my Rose.” – GRACE CODDINGTON
The notes include bergamot, mint, basil, cardamom, pink pepper, rose, freesia, peach blossom, vetiver, cashmere wood, white musk and amber.
Comme des Garçons Grace by Grace Coddington will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Loved her autobiography, wonderful read.
And love the bottle almost as much as the elephants on Berdoes Assam Tea.
The rest….we shall see.
We shall. The notes sound more girly-pink than I’d hoped, and hope that white musk is quiet.
Freesia makes my heart sink. I almost always get a cheap body spray vibe from freesia. Let’s hope I’m wrong this time.
Yes. And add peach blossom & white musk -> it’s not heartening. But we’ll have to wait and see, of course it might be fabulous.
I just reserved her autobio at the library! (Thanks!) 🙂
I read that it is exclusive to Dover Street Market. No sampling for me anytime soon then. 🙁
I don’t think so. It will definitely be sold at her website, at Colette, and I will be VERY surprised if other CdG outlets don’t pick it up as well. But doubt it will be as widely distributed as Girl was.
The mint note sounds pleasant and it’s a cute bottle.
Grace inspires me as a visionary artist and creative director. Loved her in the September Issue. But I have to say, this feels like it was designed for tweens who love fruity florals. Something about the pink juice and the cat bottle cap feels juvenile to me. Wished it were more elegant and bold. When drag queen Justin Vivian Bond teamed up with Etat Libre D’orange I thought the collaboration, name and scent all seemed edgy yet sophisticated.
