Le Couvent des Minimes has launched Eau Sereine / Botanical Cologne of Serenity, a new unisex fragrance inspired by the 'peaceful water of a lake in Mane'.
The notes include lavender, bergamot, mandarin and cedar.
Le Couvent des Minimes Eau Sereine is available in 100 ml and in matching body products.

Following a few diverting minutes following the various links, I now know that the Minims were an ascetic vegan order, and gave their name to the Paulaner brewery in Munich.
This trivia has made me a lot happier (really, I love this stuff) than yet another ruddy scent featuring “lavender, bergamot, mandarin and cedar” ever could. Was anything ever less necessary, and less attuned to the origins of the name on the label? :^D
No meat, no dairy, but they brewed beer! Not so bad after all.
I like all the scents from Le Couvent, so I’m looking forward to trying this one. I think of them as my (relatively) cheap thrill colognes.
I’m wishing for a new lavender to rival the old Roger & Gallet Lavande Royale which was a lovely aromatic lavender. The last reformulated version I bought smelled a lot like an Axe body spray so I abandoned it.
They do a good job for what they do…does seem like everyone uses clear fractions of lavender these days.
