Altaia is a new brand from Marina Serale and Sebastián Alvarez Murena of Eau d'Italie. They debuted in 2015 with three fragrances: By Any Other Name, Don't Cry For Me and Yu Son.
ALTAIA - acronym for “A Long Time Ago In Argentina" - is a celebration of Marina and Sebastian’s love for the art of perfumery and the power of storytelling through scent, as well as the extraordinary circumstances of their shared past.
By Any Other Name ~ "A declaration of love in the garden of an English castle. An ode to young love, full of mystery and tenderness. Soft sunlight on a dewy English Rose speaks words of yearning. Will you be mine?" With bergamot, litchi, rose, peony, osmanthus, cedarwood and musk.
Don't Cry For Me ~ "Sweet memories of Buenos Aires that once was. Intoxicating and irresistible as a summer night when the air is full of jasmine blossom and the longing of a million hearts. The memory of a beloved city told in whispers of white flowers and wistful songs." With jasmine tea, freesia, cherry blossom, heliotrope, vegetal amber, cashmere wood and ambrette seed.
Yu Son ~ "Inspired by an ancient Chinese poem, the celebration of an encounter that leads to love. Morning's first light shimmers over azure waters that reach into fragrant orange groves. A tale that began long ago turns into love, a promise of enchantment is fulfilled." With mandarin, green tea, orange blossom, iris, amber and gaiac wood.
Altaia By Any Other Name, Don't Cry For Me and Yu Son are available now at Aedes, 100 ml Eau de Parfum, $210 each.

They do sound nice 🙂 I like the bottles as well 🙂
Funny..Aésop has a showergel + bodylotion named “A Rose BY Any Other Name” 🙂
It is a great name, surprised it is not used more!
The perfumer for all three is Daphné Bugey, by the way.
Thanks!
Mildly baffled that a line called “A Long Time Ago in Argentina” has scents inspired by England and China, but I guess you take your inspiration where you find it.
Haha..that made me laugh 😀
