John Varvatos has launched Artisan Blu, a new limited edition fragrance for men. Artisan Blu is a flanker to 2009's John Varvatos Artisan, and follows 2014's Artisan Acqua.
Plunging deep into an azure sea, John Varvatos Artisan Blu is the ultimate embodiment of crystal blue waters under the warmth of the sun. This citrus aromatic fragrance exhales an elegant and refreshing personality, evoking a color-saturated, vibrant seaside lost in the Mediterranean summer.
The notes include bergamot, lavender, chayote, basil, bitter orange, geranium, palmarosa, iris, orange blossom, clary sage, patchouli, cedar, parasol pine, tamarisk and pistachio tree resin.
John Varvatos Artisan Blu is available now at Nordstrom, in 125 ml Eau de Toilette, $86.

This sounds nice. The blue color made me think aquatic nightmare but the ingredients sound pretty good for summer. I may actually giver this one a sniff. The most recent release in the black bottle, actually smells fine. I would not seek it out but I would wear it as a general easy breezy scent.
They did already do an Artisan Acqua so maybe this will be less watery? Don’t know.
Yeah, the blue out me off for a minute, I was reassured by the lavender note.
That blue color + the fancy bottle makes me think of old houses in the northeast that have the colored bottles lined up in their windows (a nod to history and antiques). Pretty sure that’s not what they were going for.
