Van Cleef & Arpels will launch First Rosée d'Or, a new limited edition fragrance for women. First Rosée d'Or is a flanker to the house’s debut perfume, 1976′s First, and follows last year's First Edition Or.
First Rosée d'Or features notes of bergamot, aldehydes, jasmine, rose, musks and vanilla.
Van Cleef & Arpels First Rosée d'Or will debut in September, in 60 ml Eau de Parfum.

Could be wonderful or could “smell like everything else.” I will keep my fingers crossed for wonderful…
Me too! I like all the stuff in it!
I did not get to try the last few flankers, so don’t even have a good guess.
I would probably be more excited if vanilla weren’t in the notes listed. It’s just a note that hasn’t ever smelled anything but plastic on me.
*unfortunate air freshener comparison *
That is unfortunate, since vanilla is so common!
Air freshner and plastic might be musk, not vanilla. Vanillin smells sugary and creamy by itself…
I have quite worn a lot of musk dominated perfumes and they haven’t smelled like that on me. But when I apply vanilla prevalent fragrances, artificial and plastic prevails.
Now I may have to try applying vanilla beans straight from the pod to my skin!
The bean/pod itself has an wonderful aroma, much more complex than the artifical vanilla. You can purchase some, chop and put into perfumer’s alcohol for a vanilla tincture 🙂 The smell is lovely! (or put a pod or some pods on your drawers, this also produces a lovely aroma)
I have a bottle of the now discontinued “Premiere Bouquet” which is a light apple and white flowers fragrance – very pretty. I wish these VC&A “Firsts” were more easy to sniff out.
Sounds lovely-do you prefer it to the original?
I had this one too! Thank you for reminding me, must find it again… in my opinion, it had nothing but absolutely nothing to do with the original, but lovely nevertheless. I am a bit of First crazy, I have many flankers, but one thing I had and cannot find anymore was First bath oil. It was a most most wonderful restrained dry jasmin.
