Indie line Dawn Spencer Hurwitz has launched Fleuriste, a new carnation fragrance.
Fleuriste is a carnation fragrance designed to speak to the cooler, greener, dewier side of the flower. Unlike one of DSH's best sellers, the classically warm "Oeillets Rouges", Fleuriste is intended to speak to a more modern feel with its sheer, cool green topnote of rose leaves and a chilled, yet spiced tone of carnation in the heart.
Other notes include neroli, jasmine, rose and ambergris.
Dawn Spencer Hurwitz Fleuriste is available in Eau de Parfum, Voile de Parfum and Parfum ($27-225).

Oh, I like her things. I am wearing Scent of Hope today, and Oeillets Rouges is high on my Buy soon list. Another carnation is very tempting to me.
Jessica should have a review tomorrow!
Thanks, Robin. I’m looking forward to Jessica’s review!
DSH is so prolific and when I get overwhelmed I find myself unable to focus.
It’s a large line…
OOPS…her review will be on Thursday, sorry!
You just named my 2 favorite DSH fragrances (and I own a lot!).
I stopped by Dawn’s studio 2 weeks ago with the express purpose of trying Fleuriste. Not surprisingly, I came home with a bottle.
The comparison to the florist’s fridge is apt. While Oeillet Rouges is a warm, deeply spicy, red carnation, Fleuriste is a cool, pale pink one, nestled with white roses and green foliage. It is the perfect summer carnation: light, fresh, tinged with soft spice and a green stemminess (hmm, I’m not sure that’s a real word), balanced by light, silky rose. I’m smitten.
Can’t wait to read Jessica’s take on it!
Thanks for the description! Jessica will chime in on Thursday.
Sounds like a must try to me since carnation is one of my favorite notes
Do try it…I only tried it briefly so far, but definitely going to spend more time with it
Carnation and hajusuuri – perfect together. The ambergris may temper that sentiment. We’ll see…can’t wait to read Jessica’s review!
