Demeter has launched the Destination Collection, a new series of limited edition fragrances. The first three are Cuba, Great Barrier Reef and New Zealand.
At Demeter, we have always been fascinated by the special relationship between scent and place. The Destination Collection is designed to explore that relationship. The initial Destination Collection consists of three fragrances – one existing favorite, and two new scents. We will add new scents to the Collection once or twice annually.
Cuba ~ "So close to America, yet so far away and exotic to most Americans – that contradiction made Cuba a perfect subject for the initial Destination Collection. And exotic is the perfect starting point for this fragrance. We focused on the rich, vibrant nightlife of Havana, warm, inviting and sensual, with lush notes of tobacco leaves, green sugar cane and Latin spices."
Great Barrier Reef ~ "The Great Barrier Reef is actually a complex of coral reefs, shoals and islets off the northeastern coast of Australia. Many are dry, and others barely awash in water. Some of the islands are covered in coral sand. It is that unique aspect, the combination of the warm Pacific Ocean and the powdery, sweet-scented coral that we made the focus of this fragrance – an unforgettable scent, inspired by an unforgettable locale."
New Zealand (already part of the Fragrance Library) ~ "To celebrate New Zealand, we created a fresh green outdoor fragrance that blends notes of plant leaves, barks, grass, snow, ocean, river and stone. It is a unique combination of the flora of the lowland rainforests of southwestern New Zealand, the rich, loamy soil that develops under the canopy of the rain forest, and the pure, unspoiled rainwater that makes the lush and varied vegetation possible. New Zealand is a fragrance as arresting and as unique as the New Zealand rain forest itself – a fragrance that could only be developed by Demeter Fragrance Library."
Demeter Destination Collection fragrances are available in 30 or 120 ml Cologne.
