Italian niche line il Profumo has launched Cortigiana, a perfume intended as a tribute to courtesans.
Silvana Casolis creation, "Cortigiana" is a link between the women of yesterday and those of today. A bright fresh and fruity note from crisp black cherries, meets other delicacies: Beguiling almond and vanilla tones not only conjure up wonderful culinary delights, but also make a sensual reference to the courtesans’ seductive arts and talents. The impression of warm, soft skin, but also a hint of nostalgia is imparted by powdery iris. "Cortigiana" embodies a modern, self-confident femininity that pays homage to those strong and determined women of yesterday.
Il Profumo Cortigiana will be available at First in Fragrance in Germany in March, in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Want!
I have not tried an il Profumo in ages…This one does sound fun.
Might be something great, might be black cherry cough drops. I’d like to sniff it…
Might be great black cherry cough drops! (didn’t we have this conversation recently?)
I remember noticing someone mentioned Luden’s cough drops in relationship to something (eucalyptus, maybe) but this is the first time I remember expressing hesitancy about a possible cough drop aura!
It really does sound good – I do want to test it if I ever get the chance. 🙂
