British niche line Roja Parfums has launched A Goodnight Kiss, a new fragrance for women inspired by his mother and debuting on her birthday.
I remember vividly being about 6 years old and seeing my mother standing in the doorway of my bedroom wearing a gold lame cocktail dress, the light from the landing coming over her as if she had a corona around her. Enchanted by this vision, as my mother came and kissed me goodnight, her scent together with the smell of her face powder pervaded me. Her scent, intertwined with that image, will always stay with me.
The notes feature aldehydes, bergamot, carnation, jasmine, may flower, orange blossom, rose, violet, ylang ylang, cedar, clove, leather, musk, orris and spice notes.
Roja Parfums A Goodnight Kiss is £1250 for 100 ml Parfum.

I have yet to try a Roja Dover perfume, but I’ve read many raves about his work. This sounds lovely.
It’s a mighty expensive kiss — it better be lovely 🙂
Is 2015 going to be THE YEAR OF AMBITIOUS PRICING??wowzers…(says the guy ogling some Amouage Flasks…)
I guess to REALLY be considered niche you have to market to the niche contingent who can spend that kind of money. Whew! I thought the $300 I spent on a bottle of Lira was spendy!
Hey, those flasks blow this away in terms of price!
They do,don’t they!Lol.But they’re soooo pretty!!!!
What the — ?
This makes the Serge Lutens L’Incendiare look like a relative bargain and you only have to get 50 mLs.
Refuse to go check, but not at all sure it’s his most expensive.
Want, but have no intention to spend £1250 or buy 100 ml of any parfum. I wish his range included the option of tiny bottles such as those that were available back in his mother’s day.
£1250
This juice must heal for that much!
Are these real sapphires on the stopper?
I thought they were purple (amethysts?) but no idea if they’re real, sorry.
I’ve read so many stories like this one – the elegant mother bending over the child and leaving in their mind an indelible memory of a gorgeous scent! I think Thierry Mugler, among others, said the same thing once. Funny how those mothers never smelled of the stew the family had had for dinner or the detergent they’d used to clean the kitchen afterwards, etc. They’re always a vision of luxurious and opulent loveliness. LOL!
The price is beyond preposterous.
LOL — so true!
