Diptyque has launched Eau Plurielle, a multi-use skin and fabric spray. Eau Plurielle is being launched in conjunction with the Rosafolia candle and scented (wax) oval.
From Diptyque comes Eau Plurielle, a rare scent with many different uses. It is the link, the connection that delicately perfumes both skin and fabric, the body and all the materials that encompass it. Its light mist is reminiscent of the scent of fresh linen that has long been laid on a bed of ivy and Turkish roses. A few seductive hesperidia notes introduce the accord, while musk and wood give it strength and staying power.
Additional notes include galbanum, geranium and cedar.
Diptyque Eau Plurielle is available at Selfridges in the UK, £55 for 200 ml, or at Space NK in the US, $90.

Although this particular scent doesn’t interest me, I am quite intrigued with the Diptyque brand. I would love to hear which fragrances from this brand NST readers enjoy. When I go to a counter where they sell it, it all looks like “Greek” to me. LOL!
I have two which I just love: Oyedo and Volutes. Both are in the oriental incense type category but are completely different. Oyedo is like a Japanese temple and Volutes has a soft smoke base. I also bought Oyedo as a room frag I liked it so much. I’ve had several Diptyque candles over the years also, a tad on the expensive side but they really scent a room and have a long burn time.
I love both of those, plus Philosykos, Tam Dao & L’Ombre dans L’Eau.
There are some pretty awesome perfumes to explore! My personal favorites are Tam Dao Edt,and Volutes in Edp.Although not a fig-lover,I can appreciate the artistry behind Philosykos!Their Tubereuse candle is also worth a sniff.
My fav are Eau Lente and Eau Duelle, but I’ve not smelled all of them.
You’re a Jo Malone fan, yeah? I bet you might like Eau Rose or Ofresia. Really pretty, wearable.
I will try to get myself a sample of this.
Was Diptyque always secretive on their perfumers?
They are not generally secretive about perfumers…this one is just launching, though, and I have not seen much about it yet.
Thanks, Robin. From the 2014 releases, I really liked Eau de Lavande but I had to search all over the Internet to figure out that the perfumer was Giacobetti. I wonder why this is the case.
I heard she had done that one but never saw any official confirmation…on the other hand, I did not do a massive investigation. Does not necessarily mean Diptyque is secretive so much as perhaps they do not see it as enough of a selling point to bother publicizing.
Thanks to the the amazing Merlin here on NST, I was introduced to a luxury dept store in Johannesburg which sells Diptyque. I was instantly bowled over by Eau Lente – a lively cinnamon burst, which settles sweet and balm-like – if I recall correctly. (I’ll find out in February – I’m separated from my new bottle, because I’m in the process of moving). Love Philosykos too – the fact that it is all of the fig tree: fruit, leaves and bark makes it feel really abundant.
I’m surprised by the concept of a skin/fabric scent. It sounds very low key, too. Also surprised it’s called Plurielle when MFK when launched its M and F Pluriels so recently. Plural plurals….
Ha! I’ve been using their room sprays as perfume and vice versa for at least a decade. Nice of them to catch on 🙄 Really though, maybe the SAs won’t be as horrified when I admit to it now.
It sounds like they have a lot of Eau de Lierre juice on their hands, so they’re putting it to use by adding some rose and packaging it like their Vinaigre de Toilette, which is conspicuously absent now.
Vinaigre is $80 for 200ml. This is $90 for the same amount. Eau de Lierre is $90 for the $50ml bottle and $125 for the $100. So, if you thought Eau de Lierre was nice but overpriced, and you like rose, then Eau Plurielle might get you in the mood for Valentine’s Day.
Personally, I find the thought of a practical perfume gift from an SO or housework and holidays combined no fun at all. Chocolate and laundry sounds like Aunt Flo’s coming to visit. I’ll pass on this.
