Hiram Green has launched Shangri La, a follow up to the brand's debut fragrance, Moon Bloom.
Almost one hundred years after Francois Coty defined the chypre genre with a perfume of the same name, Hiram Green presents his adaptation of this classic accord. Named after the fictional land described in James Hilton’s novel Lost Horizon, Shangri La evokes a mystical fragrant paradise.
Shangri La opens with a sharp burst of citrus, followed by a rich bouquet of peach, jasmine, rose, iris and spices, all anchored by an earthy base of vetiver and oakmoss.
Hiram Green Shangri La is €135 for 50 ml, and can be purchased now at the Hiram Green website.

I love the sound of this!
Me too. Hope it’s as good as Moon Bloom.
Me three!
I haven’t tried Moon Bloom yet but this sounds gorgeous!
Yes. Hope it will come in a travel size…MB originally did, don’t know if they’re still making it.
Shangri La comes in a travel size, I just checked Hiram Green’s website. He is also still selling Moon Bloom in the travel size.
Excellent, thanks! I should have checked this morning.
I haven’t gotten my mitts on Moon Bloom yet either. Will probably wait a bit and sample both, as this does sound nice.
A reasonable approach 🙂
Must. Have.
This does sound good.
Oh my goodness this brings back memories! I met Mr Green many years ago when he was running a tiny shop called Scent Systems just off Carnaby Street behind Liberty. They stocked a small number of fragrances, not sure if Mr Green was doing any manufacturing himself back then, but a perfumer called George Dodd or Dodds seems to be lurking in the depths of my memory.
