Swedish brand & Other Stories (they are owned by the H&M Group, and recently opened their first US store in Soho) will launch four popular fragrances from their bath and body line in Eau de Toilette form: Fig Fiction, Botanic Whisper, Moroccan Tea and Punk Bouquet. The scents were developed by perfumer Jérôme Epinette.
Fig Fiction ~ "Plump blackcurrant berries are swept away by green bamboo and wild fig, enhanced with the softness of Brazilian rosewood and dark plum. Rare, graceful, dream-inducing." Additional notes include lemon, pink pepper, violet and vetiver.*
Botanic Whisper ~ "Intense coriander and bright pomelo melt into rich lisylang [a Robertet molecule] and gardenia blossoms while slowly embracing the warmth of plum and musk. Wild, sizzling and efflorescent." Additional notes include tangerine and magnolia.
Moroccan Tea ~ "Crisp spearmint and lemon with a touch of cardamom captures the deep clean woody notes of cedarwood and musk, revealing a sweet essence of brown sugar. Fresh, stimulating and cozy." Additional notes include orange blossom, mate, almond and sandalwood.
Punk Bouquet ~ "Exquisite tiger orchid and dewy lotus flower are entwined with sweet tonka beans, overgrown with tree moss and topped with almond dreams. Hypnotizing, mysterious, magnetizing." Additional notes include tangerine, green apple, cyclamen and vanilla.
& Other Stories Fig Fiction, Botanic Whisper, Moroccan Tea and Punk Bouquet are $40 each, size unknown.
Update: the size is 50 ml.

I’ve been around plenty of punks and punk shows, and I don’t remember distinctive smells. The mosh pit could smell sweaty. A friend once said that the punk mosh pits smell like sweat and the indie pop mosh pits smell like activated deodorant 🙂
I do remember hte scent of staale, unwashed clothes from bands touring and living in their vans and from punk kids who were couch surfing … that and lots of tiger orchid and sweet tonka beans.
Poetic license, I assume 🙂
it doesn’t just smell sweaty, it *tastes* sweaty in the (punk) pit. ah the days of youth…
These sound lovely to me. Looks like a fun shop too! Neat that they’ve opened in Soho.
They do sound good, and the price is right!
Botanic Whisper looks intriguing.
I will definitely try these if I see them but have a feeling I never will 🙂
I’ve heard amazing things about Moroccan Tea. Can’t wait to try it out. I love anything cardamom.
I am a BIG fan of & Other Stories. This year I have preferred their clothes to their sister store COS and that’s saying something. Likewise I’ve really enjoyed their bath products, Morrocan Tea being one of my favourites so this is welcome news. Cute bottles too with the coloured sprayer tube – design is high on the agenda there but not at ruinous prices. And Jerome Epinette is one of those names I’ve seen alot. Gold Stars all round from me!
Fig Fiction intrigues me, as I have been enjoying my sample of Philysophos (SP?) much more than I expected to.
Morrocan Tea sound interesting, although I am leary of anything with brown sugar at it’s heart – might be sticky, you know?
I actually want a bottle of pink perfume on my dresser, and the Botanic Whisper bottle is appealing – but the concept expressed for the juice confuses me. How can something whisper and be wild sizzling and efflorescent at the same time? Ah well, I expect writing good perfume ad copy is much harder than it looks…
