Absolument (aka Le Parfum d'Interdits) has launched Aqua di Aix, a new fragrance for women. Other recent launches from the brand include La Treizième Note.
Marilyne, my wife, as inspired this subtle fragrance : the esprit of the French woman through the transcendant AQUA di AIX. [sic]
It was in Aix-en-Provence, at the center of a world of scents, refinement and subtlety, that we created our perfume. Aqua di Aix captures this reverie through aromas, to express the essence of the French woman. A mesmerizing perfume; an homage to refinement, audacity and mystery.
The notes include bergamot, apple, cardamom, incense, black pepper, jasmine, vetiver, amber and musk.
Absolument Aqua di Aix is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Oh interesting, I didn’t know there was a perfume house based in Aix-en-Provence. I spent a year in Aix studying abroad, and when I hear the name “water of Aix” I think of the fountains that are located all over the city. I don’t think I see this house around much, but if I do I’ll try to give this one a sniff.
The only one that seemed to get much traction with perfumistas was Absinthe…way back in 2006.
One of my paternal aunts lives in Aix, so I’ll ask her if she’s heard of this perfume house. The juice sounds nice. Well it would, wouldn’t it, seeing as it has incense. 🙂
Incense never hurts! Curious to know if they’re “famous” locally.
