French niche line Parfumerie Générale has launched No. 26 Isparta, a chypre oriental fragrance. Isparta is named for the Turkish province, known for the cultivation of damask rose.
"The province of Isparta in Turkey is famed for its rose oil, obtained from a variety called ‘Isparta Summer Roses’, which grows profusely in gardens and terraced fields on the soft mountain slopes. The roses are picked early in the morning when they are half-open and their fragrance is the strongest… intense, rich, slightly spicy.”
Behind wisps of burning resins, Isparta hides a woody rose embraced by a velvety animalic accord of red fruit, benzoin, calamus and ambroxan…
Additional notes include Peru balsam, patchouli, frankincense and agarwood.
Parfumerie Générale No. 26 Isparta is available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum, €62 - €130.

I am really excited by this news! My search for a replacement for my once beloved OJ Ta’if may be at an end – this sounds good, and I am very fond of my PG Ilang Ivohibe so I have high hopes for this.
It sounds lovely, I want to try it too.
The descriptive imagery of it is so nice and PG has always been great with their releases. I will definitely be looking forward to this one!
Me too.
Oooh, that sounds beautiful, and I’ve had great luck with PG. On the “sample” list it goes.
My sample list is too long, but I’m adding it too.
This sounds fab. I’m in the mood for roses at the moment and PG always does something interesting. Count me in!
A definite must try, and anyone looking for a lovely T’aif Rose should sample the new one out by Perris Monte Carlo.
Where do you purchase Parfumerie Generale fragrances in the US? Luckyscent?
