Niche line Ulrich Lang has launched Aperture, the brand's fifth fragrance. Other recent launches from the brand include 2012's Lightscape.
Introspective and heady, Aperture Ulrich Lang New York is a woody-spicy fragrance for a new time.
The notes include aldehydes, pink pepper, black pepper, white pepper, tobacco, jasmine, cedarwood, muguet, musk, vetiver, ambergris and animalic notes.
Ulrich Lang Aperture is $200 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

This brand doesn’t ring a bell to me – guess I’m just not familiar with it. It sounds like “Aperture” is for a man.
What brand can this be compared to?
I think UL designates all their scents as unisex. It’s a very small niche brand that generally uses photography as inspiration (hence aperture), not really sure who else to compare it with.
These notes perk my interest a bit.
