French niche line Phaedon has launched Poivre Colonial, a new spicy woods fragrance.
Both prickly and smooth, this ethereal wood opens with an explosive blend of grapefruit, nutmeg and peppercorns. The heart notes are suffused with a vapour of cedar and vetiver, mixed with warm, animalic cocoa beans. The base notes are dominated by oak moss oabsolute [sic] and patchouli tinged with blond wood, suave, deep and persistent.
Phaedon Poivre Colonial is available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette, €85.

This sounds kind of nice
It does! They’ve released a ton of fragrances this year, most of which I didn’t even manage to announce — and lots of them sound good.
I tried some of them as the whole like is available at Galilu perfume boutique in Warsaw. Been there two months ago and sniffed some Phaedons. Tabac Rouge is my fave, Oriental Mint and Lentisque were nice too.
It does, I wonder if I will remember it though, so many to sniff.
Warm, animalic cocoa beans made me giggle like a third grader. Sorry.
You are forgiven 😉
