Aggghhh, is there no escaping it?
Being from the UK, I can say that this is rarely off the TV, the ghastly song is as twee as the commercial (it is riding high in the music charts as well as being all over TV). I detest all Christmas advertising, but this is especially heinous.
However, if you watch, it doesn’t try to sell you a single thing. It is either dumb, or very clever. There are lots of debates going on about the psychology of a top tier retailer spending a very large sum of money on a commercial that sells you nothing. That in itself is interesting.
Oh I’m so sorry! It is easily missed here, and I thought it was cute — once. I’m sure I do not need to see it over & over.
Also thought it was interesting because it seemed so different from the department store commercials we see here at Xmas, which are so much more product-oriented.
No problem Robin, I can see why people find it cute.
I must have seen it several hundred times already, and the cute wore off after about 20 seconds.
Nevermind, it will soon be easter chocolate advertising.
Ha, true! I see virtually no television advertising, so am always interested in what I find on YouTube. Probably half the ads I post here make people crazy because they’ve seen them before 🙂
Oh, I loved that:). I want a full length film. I love animation though..and animals:). Make me happy!
🙂
It’s cute, but I’m already sick of it and there’s over a month to go until Xmas. It’s shown at least three times per hour. I’ve started taping programmes so I can skip all the ads.
Yeah, I had no idea. I skip ads here too so no idea what ads people are already sick of.
