French niche line Majda Bekkali has launched Tendre est la Nuit, a new fragrance intended as an homage to Zelda Fitzgerald.
Soft, aromatic, and animalic, Tendre est la Nuit evokes a cozy and sweet atmosphere that may result in indolence and languor. Majda Bekkali, “wanted to tell what may be the opposite of the noisy and turbulent world where we live...but when we extract ourselves from the noisy world, some danger lurks around and reason falters, the animality emerges.”
Tendre est la Nuit was developed by perfumer Delphine Thierry. The notes feature immortelle, ambrette and carrot seeds, cabreuva, davana, pepper, Sichuan pepper, benzoin, leather, labdanum, oakmoss, incense, patchouli and castoreum.
Majda Bekkali Tendre est la Nuit can be found now at Luckyscent, in 120 ml Eau de Parfum, $230.

Stunning bottle, and the juice doesn’t sound bad either… 🙂
I love that bottle too. It just begs you to cup it in your hand.
This brand has really done a nice job w/ packaging.
I agree, and I’m normally not really bottle-conscious, but this one? I just want to hold it in my hand! And yes, it could be a cosy winter scent
Zelda Fitzgerald is all the rage this year.
Yep!
I tried it briefly couple of weeks ago and I found the scent to be very opulent, rich & heavy. Davana, immortelle, leather and labdanum were particularly intensive if I remember well.
Beautiful bottle. It (and others from this line) are also listed on Min New York’s website. Looking forward to sniffing next month when I visit NYC.
Got a sample of this in the mail yesterday. It smells like the inside of this red cedar jewelry box my dad got for me when I was about 10….but with a sprinkle of something like cinnamon? hmm…something along those lines…I should take a look at the notes.
So far this is the best of the Bekkali.
Queen of the Jellyfish (ie. spineless me) loved the dry-down and ordered a bottle. *I’m hopeless*
