French niche line Téo Cabanel will launch Barkhane, a new woody chypre fragrance, in November. The French word barkhane refers to crescent shaped sand dunes that form in deserts.
Barkhane was developed by perfumer Jean-François Latty. The notes include bergamot, geranium, cumin, curry, patchouli, vetiver, cistus, oud, myrrh, tonka bean, vanilla and musk.
Téo Cabanel Barkhane will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

…ok, I am daydreaming now. Very evocative name!
Teo cabanel is a line I respect – few launches and their fragrances are all well done.
This reminds me I should force myslef out my current Guerlain monogamy (an autumnal reflex for me) and dab some alahine from my sample (if I can find it!). It’s appropriate with this grey and cold weather!
Yes, nicer inspiration here than w/ many.
Cumin and curry? Pass.
Hey, you never know!
I absolutely love the name, but yes — curry sounds scary.
Could be, we’ll see…
Gorge name, gorge bottle and the notes read very intriguing…makes me want to try it!
The idea of cumin in perfume scares me — I sweat enough as it is. I don’t need more sweat!
The sand dune reference IS beautiful.
