British perfume house Floris has launched Cambridge, a fragrance celebrating the birth and christening of Prince George of Cambridge:
Created, as part of our By Request service, to celebrate the joyful arrival and Christening of Prince George Alexander Louis, we are delighted to announce the launch of the new Eau de Parfum – ‘Cambridge’, a clean, fresh marine, woody fragrance with a modern amber base.
Inspired by the wonderful array of aromatic ideas penned by customers on the pages of the By Request books or posted to Jermyn Street by email the Floris Perfumer began an olfactory journey to lift these emotive words into scent.
Beginning with a crystal clean Marine accord and resinous green notes of galbanum and bergamot the fragrance travels through to the heart notes of jasmine and lavender, warmed with cedarwood and fir balsam. The rich base of the fragrance is balanced with modern ambers, musks and a hint of vanilla.
Additional notes include juniper berry, marine notes and moss.
Floris Cambridge is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

So I guess we’re all agreed that A) this sounds boring, and B) Floris are pretty happy to capitalize on the Royal Family whenever there’s an event of note (didn’t we get a wedding and a jubilee perfume?)
Beats a commemorative plate, maybe 😉
But yeah, not interested.
