Indie brand DS & Durga has launched Spirit of the Glen, a new fragrance in the HYLNDS collection (see Bitter Rose, Broken Spear; Isle Ryder; and Pale Grey Mountain, Black Lake). Spirit of the Glen was made in collaboration with The Glenlivet distillery.
DS & Durga have delved deep into the rich history, flora, and pristine whisky of legendary Speyside, Scotland, home of The Glenlivet. This unisex eau de parfum uses accords taken from all aspects of whisky production: fruity-green Speyside spirit, aged Limousin oak casks, charred bourbon barrels, and wild pineapple weed. Spirit of the Glen starts fresh, releases wood in the heart, and dries down to a rich vanillic wood reminiscent of the lingering finish of The Glenlivet.
DS & Durga HYLNDS Spirit of the Glen is available now for pre-order at Barneys, 50 ml for $180.

sounds quite interesting, despite my lack of familiarity with Glenlivet.
Have to sample this brand one of these days.
I like some of their scents, haven’t tried any of this range though.
Completely unable to keep the DS & Durga offerings straight. As bad as PB’s PC02, etc…
Really?? But they do have names, right? Just too many words?
Glenlivet is a great product! I hope everyone was sober when all the key decisions were made…
Oh, I don’t know. A little warmth and good cheer might have helped.
Ha!
This looks promising…
I think so too.
Goodness the copy from this Co. cracks me up. ‘Here’s to us, those like us, damn few, an there all dead….’ Bottoms up!!
Friend just gave me a bottle of this and it smell like aged whiskey barrels. It’s quite nice. Smelled a sample of the bitter rose and that was great too.
The entire range of the line is at New London Pharmacy in Chelsea but I have never given it a try. I wear the “Burning Barbershop” from their regular line and love it. I also tried, and commented on NST, their fragrance created exclusively for J Crew which was also nice. D S & Durga seem to always do a great job imho. I unknowingly met one of the owners at my friend’s engagement party three years ago. NYC is so very small in such a great way.
