Oh man, I guess I missed the “L’Eau Her” announcement. Hahaha. At this point I kind of admire the dedication to completely indistinguishable names–it’s taking on a theater-of-the-absurd quality that I’m enjoying.
I kind of have to agree — I complain about it, but now I’d be disappointed if they went for clarity.
You know, as I think about it, there’s also a certain bizarre (wholly unpragmatic) honesty to it, given that the scents are also such minor variations on the same theme! I mean, I definitely still have some I prefer over others, but really, in the broader context of the huge range of things a perfume can be, NR is basically putting out a series of nearly identical fragrances. To give them all nearly identical names has kind of a weird truth-in-advertising quality!
Good point. And they did give Essence its own “real” name.
Neiman Marcus is running their scent event through Sunday. An eighty five dollar purchase in the beauty department will get you a tote bag and some samples of new releases from the high end of main stream lines. A number of companies area also offereing gifts with purchases in their brands.
PS I have no business association of any kind with the store.
Missed that, thanks!
