Tauer Perfumes will launch No. 14 Noontide Petals, a new addition to the classic line, next month.
With NOONTIDE petals I am referring to a glittering age of perfumery. Then, in the first quarter of the last century, aldehydes found their way into some of the most beautiful fragrances. It was like turning on the light in a dim room. Aldehydes allowed to create the most stunning effects in perfumery, never experienced before. Together with and complementing the distinguished beauty of natural extracts of flower petals, leaves and precious woods, they were and still are the key to noble glamour.
Referring back in time, NOONTIDE petals is a bright, brilliantly glittering fragrance with a modern twist. It opens with the sparkling splendor of aldehydes, joyous and elegant, softened by Bergamot and Bourbon geranium. These bright head notes shine on a refined and gentle chord of flower petals, composed of rose, ylang, tuberose and jasmine. The body of the fragrance underlines the unisex character of NOONTIDE petals: It is a soft and sensual patchouli, powdery vanilla and rich sandalwood chord that plays with vibrating frankincense, with hints of iris, vetiver and styrax adding a bright twist.
The notes feature bergamot, aldehydes, geranium, rose, ylang ylang, tuberose, jasmine, patchouli, frankincense, vanilla, sandalwood, iris, styrax and vetiver.
Tauer Perfumes No. 14 Noontide Petals will be available in 50 ml Eau de Toilette, in the classic blue pentagonal Tauer flacon.

Update: see a review of Noontide Petals.
Interesting that the 1920s are back in vogue. Does this mean a reappearance of aldehydics in more mainstream scents or just a reinterpretation of the era, sans aldehydic notes?
No idea.
1920’s? I think that you have something there. I saw some new hairstyles the other day — bobs with waves in them. Also that new bang bob hairstyle of Mrs. Obama. Pointy toed lower heeled shoes are back, and the smokey vamp eye makeup as well. Wonder if the dropped waist dress with long bead strand necklaces will be coming back.
So looking forward to Baz Lurhman’s The Great Gatsby…….
I can’t fully get into Tauer fumes or tuberose for that matter, a pass for me.
Time & money saved then.
Excited about this one! I”m wearing Miriam today and hope this is similar!
Interesting, had not thought of it in relation to Miriam.
Can’t wait to try it!!!!
I am always excited by and look forward to a new Tauer fragrance and this sounds intereseting.
That thump you just heard was me swooning and hitting the floor.
Sounds like another masterpiece
Ohhh, sounds wonderful. I’m hoping that it’s unlike anything else from Tauer that I’ve tried so far.
Oh, believe me that it smells beyond gorgeous! Andy was very kind sending me a pre-release sample for testing and reviewing. The scent is really exciting, I’ll feature it soon at Chemist in the Bottle.
Hooray !!!!
Shipping restrictions make it much more expensive to test the Tauers these days, darn it. This sounds lovely.
Always happy to try a new Tauer. Although I’m a little put off by the typeset choices–NOONTIDE sort of yells at you and then “petels” almost an afterthought. And since “noontide” doesn’t evoke anything particular for me, it’s just emphasis for emPHASis sake.
When reading the title quickly, I read “Noodles….”
I did, too! 😉
Ah, Andy Tauer. Anything by you, I will try. I may not love it, but I will almost certainly appreciate it.
Tauer!!!!!finally a new fragrance..I love you
I am wearing Noontide Petals now and it has that distinctive Tauer “statement” aspect along with being many-faceted. I will have to compare it later to Miriam and/or Loretta as it is reminding me of one of them. Basically, a very joyful scent!
