(via press release)
I saw them in my local niche perfume boutique, they introduced them a little while ago. Tried them all, all are sweet, feminine.
They sound it! I have not tried a new Micallef scent in ages.
Then it’s high time for you to try a new Micaleff. I personally noticed that Vanille Marine has lesser to do with marine than one would expect.
I can’t help but wonder how much the Orient will resemble Shalimar, though the cuir sounds like it could be delicious!
Sounds sweeter than Shalimar, but it isn’t much of a description so who knows.
Anne, you beat me to it! Hard to imagine a vanilla oriental that doesn’t draw comparisons to Shalimar.
Can’t decide about the leather, though. Mint with leather? Hard for me to imagine.
Can’t imagine mint and leather together either. The “orient” sounds interesting, but “attractivity”??? Aaargh.
Yeah. I winced at that one, too!
Could just swear there is something else with mint & leather, but can’t think of what it is.
I haven’t tried it but I think I once read Nomad Tea by CDG was somewhat leathery and minty… could that be it? Except for that I have the same feeling that I smelled mint+leather somewhere before and I personally quite like the sound of it ( I would like something like a Mint-leather-bergamot-tea mmmmmhhhh)
Ha…and that is the one scent from that CdG series that I never tried!
Vanille Marine is not an aquatic fragrance. Vanilla, cream, sweetness – I found it to be quite feminine and cloying in the long run. The first 5 seconds were interesing though
They call it one, so, so shall I 😉
