Indie line Sonoma Scent Studio has launched Forest Walk, a new unisex fragrance:
Forest Walk was inspired by the scents of summer walks in the woods. It incorporates the earthy, mossy smells of the forest floor with tree bark, tree needles, and soft floral highlights. The ingredients include multiple natural woods -- black hemlock, oak, western red cedar, New Caledonia sandalwood, fir balsam, and oakmoss -- with notes of earth, roots, and hints of jasmine sambac and violet. Resinous benzoin, amber, and labdanum soften the woods and provide lasting power in the base. Forest Walk is high in natural ingredients and can be enjoyed in any season.
Additional notes include galbanum, olibanum, patchouli, orris and earthy notes.
Sonoma Scent Studio Forest Walk is available is in 5 ($21), 17 ($54) and 34 ($105) ml Parfum.

I’ve been wearing this for the last couple of days, and I have to say that I’m blown away by how beautiful it is! Definitely FB worthy for me.
I am hearing good things! I just got a sample & hope to try it this week.
I’m very interested to hear your opinion, Robin, as I’ve noticed over the years that we seem to be close to evil scent twins. This may be different enough to be in the in-between area.
Ah, will let you know!
This sounds fantastic. I finished both of my SSS bottles already, so i need to revisit some of the others i liked, as well as this new one.
Agree, sounds appealing, & has had good reviews so far.
This sounds awsome! I’m curious how it will compare to Ormonde Woman…
Sounds more “outdoorsy” than OJ Woman, but we’ll see!
Yup! I wouldn’t mind another green, Hemlock scent! Been meaning to buy a small bottle of Nostalgie anyway. . .

I think they are very different. For one thing – you will not find the OJ signature base in Forest Walk.
I can’t help but feel in my heart that this was made for me.
Maybe if it would have been called “Forest Run” ? 😉
I’m sick with a horrible cold right now but a sample is waiting for me and I hope it is a new perfume to cherish.
I am a big fan of Laurie’s , many of her creations are beloved to me. <3
Oh dear, get better soon!
Tamara, good to “see” you! 🙂 I hope you feel better real soon. And yes, I think you’ll love this one!
T, I immediate thought of you when I saw this one. 🙂
This does sound like you, Tamara!
Rapple! I miss you. I have a good feeling about it ,for sure.
Can’t wait. <3
This sounds so wonderful. I cannot wait to try it!
I ordered a sample of this today. Reading about it has made me crave it madly! It sounds wonderful and I can’t wait to try it.
Hoping that this will be the SSS fragrance that finally works out for me.
Very very tempting! I like that it has oak. And violets!
I loved the hemlock top note in OJ Woman, but it turns into their usual iso E super base all too quickly. I love SSS Tabac Aurea. The Muir Woods is one of my all time favorite scent experiences. I’m not a complete scent twin with Rapple, but our tastes overlap a fair amount. So I have high hopes that this will be the forest perfume I’ve been looking for!
Laurie from SSS is wonderful. I had ordered a boxed set of mini-sprays and it came with a complimentary sample. In my comments, I requested Forest Walk if it was available having read that it was “coming soon” but if it was unavailable, I would be happy with Nostalgie. Not only did I get Nostalgie, she also gave me a Forest Walk tester! I will be ordering another boxed set soon and Forest Walk will definitely be one of the 5. On a related note, although I had only tried Fig Tree from my boxed set, I keep the box within easy reach because the mix of scents is just absolutely divine!

This does sound lovely – OJ Woman is one of my favorites, and anything along the same lines – especially anything from SSS – sounds good to me!

Bravo, Laurie!
This one is a beauty, very realistic and IMHO – very California (having spent a number of years visiting Yosemite and parts of No. Cal. It tells the story of a full day spent hiking in the woods, and progresses from a cool, early morning dampness to the dryness warmed by the afternoon sun. My take on it anyway.
