Niche line Keiko Mecheri will launch Un Jour d'Été, a new summer fragrance, in late May or early June:
a get away on the sun drenched beaches of St. Tropez
celebration of the hippie-chic bohemian lifestyle
The notes feature bergamot, jasmine, monoi, woodsy notes and amber.
Keiko Mecheri Un Jour d'Été will be available in 75 ml Eau de Parfum.
Hippy – chic bohemian lifestyle !! I’ ll take 75 ml !)
All you need for that is some patchouli oil 😉
Interesting. St. Tropez as I know it is anything but hippie-chic or Bohemian. The notes sound good, however. I have no idea what to expect from this brand, since I’ve not tried any! Is it worth a sniff? At this point, I’m not going to bother unless I hear good things about it.
I havent wanted to wear any of the ones i have tried a second time, and thats between 10 and 15 of them. I think i am particularly averse to the crystal musk in several of her fragrances. I’m a guy though, so what do i know.
I like a few of them…but the line is awfully big now to do any kind of comprehensive sampling.
I think some of Keiko’s fragrances are very well-constructed, but the line in general leans quite heavily towards the feminine. There are several I tested and appreciated, but just felt out-of-place on me. Mulholland and Cuir Cordoba both have impressive longevity and are smooth and well-constructed, but are a little soft (and fuzzy?) for me. I do own Iris d’Argent, a very focused iris scent with little else – well-executed floral soapiness. Worth checking out, IMO.
in general KM perfumes are easy to wear, but I found them not very long-lasting as well. three I love most: mogador – will get a full bottle soon :), jasmine, and isles lointaines.
however i agree that they do not have sort of powerful characteristics or anything – they just smell pretty 🙂
I ordered their entire sample set but none of them caught my fancy.
I like the two I tried, Bois de Santal and Datura Blanche. Bois de Santal is elegant and soft – as Oiled Buddha says, fuzzy.
Datura Blanche is a sticky white floral.
Thanks to everyone else who weighed in! Blithie, I like the Bois de Santal too.
The notes on this one sound lovely – can’t wait to try it!
