Tocca has launched Violette, a new fragrance for women:
Springtime in Paris. Vibrant blooms along the Champs-Elysees awaken the youthful spirit of first love. Violette evokes the whirlwind romance between a young soldier on leave and a young girl at the fragrance counter of Le Bon Marche in 1940s Paris.
The notes include bergamot, ginger, coriander, African violet, rose, black currant, cedar, cashmere musk and benzoin.
Tocca Violettte is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum; it is exclusive to Anthropologie stores until May.

Hmmm. I always thought of African Violets as being a scentless and hardy flower, two qualities which make it perfect for an office or cubicle plant.
*snort* Hardy? Those things die as soon as I look at them! but yeah…they’re not scented, unless “live plant” qualifies as a scent in this context.
There are scented varieties, although doubt they have much to do w/ this fragrance.
My African violets don’t smell at all either. I do like some of the other notes in this but I find the Tocca scents can be very light and fleeting. I’ll try this though because it might be nice for spring.
This actually sounds interesting.
Since I have a kidlet named Violet, I see a bottle of this in my future…
