Monteil* will launch Monteil Le Nouveau Parfum in February. The new fragrance for women means to reflect the style of the brand's founder, Germaine Monteil.
The notes include green apple, bergamot, mandarin, white flowers, plum, vanilla, cedar, amber and Peru balsam.
Monteil Le Nouveau Parfum will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

*Monteil, formerly the US-based Germaine Monteil cosmetics company, has been owned by a German company since 2006; if Wikipedia is correct, there has not been a new fragrance under the Monteil name since the 1990s.
I keep hoping the pink perfume thing will die out.
There are only so many colors to go around — they can’t give up pink!
Apple again!?
People do love apple.
I had no idea this company was still in existence. I remember I had tried their skin care line and liked a few products and then (poof) they were gone from the department stores.
This doesn’t sound terrible but I won’t be seeking it out to try it.
I didn’t know either, & no idea if it’s sold outside Germany or not.
This new perfume doesn’t sound that appealing, but I sure loved the old Germaine Monteil scent called Champagne that appeared for maybe a couple of years back in the early 80’s. I assume that a. Monteil got sued over the name, and b. the scent wasn’t popular, as it didn’t have the shoulder pads to compete with other 80’s femme fatale perfumes. But I’d love to have it back again…
Ohhhh–I love The GM Champagne! I have a bottle of the original scent and use it sparingly. The bottle is gorgeous, too.
Poucette, I’m delighted to find another GM Champagne lover out there! How lucky you are to still have a bottle. I’ve often wondered if one of the perfume reproduction companies could do a decent version of it for me — but am afraid of disappointment…
It’s so distinctive that I’d be afraid of disappointment, too. Also, do you think they used some ingredients that are now banned?
Probably; my scent memory isn’t good enough to guess what was in the original, though.
Champagne will stay in my Happy Memories box, along with the versions of Fidji, Niki de Saint Phalle, Magie Noire, and Ysatis that I wore 20-30 years ago.
Has anyone tried the new Germaine perfume, if so is it good? I used their Champagne back in the 80’s and loved it. I wish they would bring it back!
I have not, sorry!
