More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.
From Lalique, the 2012 special edition for the Lalique de Lalique fragrance: "For the 2012 edition, Sillage, the spirit of the tiara has been revisited with the help of the know-how of the master craftsmen. The flower bouquet that makes up the very heart note of the fragrance has been sculpted in minute detail on the stopper. The polished and frosted effects multiply the play of light which animates the crystal." 30 ml, 1200€. (via lalique-parfums)
From Escentric Molecules, their original duo in black bottles celebrating their 5th anniversary: "The 01 Series design is acid-etched on the bottle, in matte black glass, fired from volcanic sand. The box is silver, the inner sleeve is imperial purple. It’s a darkly glamorous, reverse polarity remix of the original packaging’s arcane essence and, if the fragrances themselves are the same, the new visuals cue a different reaction, which admirably suits Escentric’s ever-evolving nature." Escentric 01 is shown; there is a similar bottle for Molecule 01. $140 for 100 ml at Luckyscent.
From Donna Karan, Cashmere Mist in the Swarovski Edition: "Produced exclusively for Harrods, this limited edition Donna Karan Cashmere Mist fragrance is beautifully embellished with sparkling SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS." £85 for 100 ml Eau de Toilette, at Harrods in the UK.
And the winner of the Lucky Horse Shoe is . . . Lalique!
That is one unfortunate stopper.
There are 3 prongs, so it probably doesn’t look so much like a horseshoe in person. Still, I’m not feeling any love for it either, and it will obviously prevent the user from applying the perfume with the stopper.
Maybe that is one of the “weapons of seduction” that Undergreen was talking about?
Yeah. Looks really painful!
Lalique has done some beautiful bottles in the past, but this one made me go: “huh?”
That Lalique looks like some freaky rams head thing…maybe it’s better in person..
Let’s hope.
You’d never guess which two of these companies is world famous for glass artistry, would you?
LOL, that’s definitely the worst aspect of this whole thing!
Agree!
Out of these, I would have guessed Escentric Molecules.
They’re pretty blando, but I’d rather have one any of these than the new Bond 9 ‘s with Andy Warhols’s face.
Come on people, that’s obviously the sillage spilling out of that flacon. In a three pronged attack. LOL it’s pretty weird.
I think the Lalique one is BREATHTAKING! I Actually, LITERALLY, GASPED when i saw this… It’s Just Stunningly Beautiful! Sometimes i just don’t see what others find to be beautiful and not beautiful… cus that to me is Just Divine!
I’m with you. I have always loved those big, dramatic Lalique tiara stoppers (so few have survived because they’re so fragile): I’m glad to see that Lalique is reviving the style, though these look a bit sturdier.
I’m glad that it will have its fans, since I’d hate to encourage less risk-taking. . .but to me it looks like a weird sea creature.
I was liking it too.
Ummm. That Lalique bottle is so very odd.
Oh wow. The Donna Karan has Swarovski elements. (yawn).
Next please.
practically speaking…it seems like it will be easy to grip and gently pull open with the three prongs. I dont mind it at all visually
Ya, what’s with all the over-the-top toppers? Do we have Marc Jacobs to blame? Lol. I kinda dig the Bright Crystal top though..and ya, I am actually a little guilty for liking the Hot Pink Daisy bottle, lol. But Lovestruck and Oh Lola..had me going..oh nooooah..lol.
Lol..that lid could be dangerous..cause if it’s that time of the month..and I am cranky..and want to throw something..look out. Just kidding…I’ve never thrown anything when it’s that time..really:). Hehe.
