French niche house Memo has launched Granada, a new floriental fragrance:
Granada, the song of the Andalusian Jasmine
Midnight in the gardens of the red fortress, Alhambra. Under the sparkling spray of the fountain, under the yoke of the solid marble the gentle breeze lets me believe in love. With eyes closed and hands outstretched, I am drowsy from your perfume. Cradle me, song of jasmine, take me in your arms my orange blossom. How dark is the wood of your guitars as they play to the bright moonlight. Romantic sun-kissed gypsies, their skirts let my heart dance with joy.
The notes include white flowers, bergamot, orange blossom, jasmine, heliotrope, musk, vanilla and dark woods.
Memo Granada is available in 30 or 75 ml Eau de Parfum, and can be found now at First in Fragrance in Germany.

This could be very interesting. I like the bottle. But the floriental is something I really dislike at the moment. There is a very few out there, that I adore. Dark woods sounds promising…but I doubt it will.
If it’s jasmine, I want to try it 🙂
I really want to try this. I just adore several other Memo fragrances. I’m in the US and have never bought from First in Fragrance. Are the shipping charges reasonable?
Last time I checked, Memo Perfumes did not sell to the US because of the alcohol shipping issues. Any news on that front?
So far as I know, they don’t sell here.
Oh, and sorry, don’t know First in Fragrance’s shipping prices…have only bought samples from them.
I love Memo and I love florientals. This is clearly a must-try for me. Thank you for the information 🙂
I don’t think I’ve yet tried any of this line. Must get on the ball.
I cannot look at that name without first seeing it as “Memo Grandma”. 😛
I adore Granada, and for that alone I might have to try this. I spent two nights at the parador (government-run hotel) on the grounds of the Alhambra. The parador was built in a 15th-century convent that was on the grounds of the Alhambra, and it’s a truly magical place, as is all of the Alhambra. I was lucky enough to be walking in its gardens right around midnight, after finishing a great night tour of the Alhambra palace, which is bewitching by moonlight. I’d highly recommend it to anyone going to Spain.
Very tempting unless the vanilla is too pronounced… But interesting and the bottle looks nice!
Ditto, if it’s jasmine, I want to try it as well!
These notes say I will like this one, but I must sniff to be sure, love the bottle:).
