Brooklyn-based indie line DS & Durga has launched Hollywood Regency, a new limited edition fragrance exclusive to the web store at Refinery29:
Refinery29 takes you back to the era when Hollywood was invaded by Brits and styles turned regal. An elite aroma of Rajasthani gardenia and peony grounded in white cedar, leather and exotic ambers. For puttin' on the Ritz.
Refinery29 has partnered with renowned Brooklyn-based D.S. and Durga to create Hollywood Regency: a totally unique bespoke fragrance reminiscent of that old Hollywood glamour we're all so fond of. One of the sole American-made fragrance makers in the industry, D.S. and Durga is a husband-and-wife team who uses only the most premium ingredients, crafting, bottling, and boxing every scent with their very own hands. Inspirational, no?
The notes include red mandarin, labdanum, cedar, gardenia, peony, leather, musk and apothecary rose.
DS & Durga Hollywood Regency is available in 30 ml Eau de Parfum, $85.

this sounds awesome.
It has potential 🙂
Not a too-horrible price for Premium…
Could be worse!
Oh nix, Just what I need- another Hollywood glamour /British elegance lemming……
But at least it comes in 30ml bottles!
It’s limited edition…hopefully it will be gone before you lose sleep over it!
This sounds lovely. I need to get my hands on some of this!
I don’t think you have any choice but to buy unsniffed then…doesn’t seem to be in any brick n mortar stores.
Sounds like it could be on the yummy side. Limited editions and discontinued fragrances are bad luck for me. Like too many already. 😉
Apothecary rose sounds interesting. How does it compare to regular ol’ rose?
No idea how the smell differs. Pretty though:

I recently got a sample of a few of their masculine scents. Sir, Orris Root, Osmanthus Cologne, and Staghorn Sumac.
I really wanted to like the Staghorn Sumac, but I just found the sumac note to be too overwhelming.
I really liked Orris Root. To me it seemed very earthy and damp, and not quite as powdery as other Iris scents. It’s definitely on my wish list.
