Bath & Body Works has launched Classic, a new addition to their Signature collection for men:
Classic is a refined, masculine blend of bourbon pepper, orris, and royal wood.
The notes feature Bourbon pepper, apple, cardamom, black pepper, nutmeg, orris, sandalwood, vanilla wood, guaiacwood, vetiver, patchouli and musk.
Bath & Body Works Classic Men is available in 100 ml Cologne.

That bottle makes me wish I hadn’t gotten up this morning.
LOL!
Bottle hurts my head. Notes sound, actually, not too bad. B&BW tend toward the cheap-smelling, but that may not be awful. I’m still looking for fragrances for my sons, age 13 and 11, and I might pick up the tester just to see, next time I’m in there sniffing the candles…
It’s my least favorite bottle from them, and near the bottom of the list of recent bottles in general.
A Bath & Body Works just opened in a mall in my town/city/whatever and I haven’t set foot in it, but just walking past is sort of eyewatering. Is there any reason to go in? Is there anything in there worth smelling? I mostly gravitate towards nichey things and vintage but I am not a fragrance snob (I wear Tabu and some of the many, many Perry Ellises), and if there was anything good I’d sure give it a sniff.
They have a certain style that doesn’t suit me — I still have a soft spot for Coconut Lime Verbena body lotion, but I’ve never bought anything else from them. I do think they’ve tried to move towards more complex fragrances, and they’ve improved the packaging and presentation, but I never find anything I really want there. If I’m after cheap chain things, I’m much more likely to find something in L’Occitane (although they’re not so cheap as they used to be) or The Body Shop.
Thanks for the info. I haven’t found anything worthy in The Body Shop since Amorito and Altaro, and those were like seven years ago. I like cheap-and-cheerful scents as much as the next person, but there has to be something about them that sets them apart from the endless thousands in the department stores these days.
Speaking of “a style that doesn’t suit you”, have you ever smelled anything from the Canadian line Fruits & Passion? EVERY SINGLE THING has the exact same base, kind of like Guerlinade except horrible, and it’s all you can smell from their store. I actually hold my breath when I walk past.
Hi Pyramus. I haven’t checked out too many new fragrances from Bath and Body Works since I’m still bent about their discontinuing so many of my loves *cough cough Vanilla Noir cough cough*, but if you like amber, their Sensual Amber is really lovely. It is more carmalized and sweet and not a dry amber at all, but it is one of the scents from them I really like. And if it ever re-emerges round the holidays, their Warm Milk and Honey line was not only wonderful in the smell department, but the packaging was just gorgeous!
Hope this helps and thanks for the warning about Fruits and Passion. I’d been considering an unsniffed purchase. And I’ll join you in longing for the lovely TBS scents of years past.
I liked the TBS White Musk Midnight Iris ok, and the Moroccan Rose seemed nice too. I didn’t buy either, but I liked both of them better than anything I’ve smelled at BBW. But BBW has a gajillion fans, so hope others will chime in.
I really like their Twilight Woods scent – I have the lotion and the body butter. But otherwise, mostly too sweet for my taste. Be curious to see if any BBW products appealed to you.
Always worth a sniff. They always have great sales and coupons. And if you love candles, Slatkin candles are wonderful. Even better on sale 😉
