I think I’m obligated to obtain the Librarian’s League. Almost expecting to see a Ministry of Silly Walks in the lineup….
I’m a bit slow sometimes, but have just realised the significance of your name! My husband is a librarian and I guess I should get him the appropriate scent as a gift. Funnily enough, the notes in it would probably appeal to him!
Almost always when I want to write that something “smells dewy”, I type in “dewey” first. I saw that Librarian one too, but it doesn’t “read” interesting enough to me. 😉
I would buy Ministry of Silly Walks!
LOL!
I want to belong to The Association of Leisurely Pursuits.
I think I already do 😉
The listed notes for Leisurely Pursuits sound lovely, but “aquatic citrus” gives me pause. I wonder just how aggressively aquatic it is.
Hard to say…I have not tried any of these.
I love the theme, I love the bottles, many of them sound promising and the price and size are right. I believe that spells: L-e-m-m-i-n-g!
Yes, love the sizes & prices!
Aston Park sounds lovely – and they’re affordable! They all sound pretty nice, actually, Cute bottles too!
I would think that if they’re going to release 8 new fragrances at once and make them look and sound so appealing, then they’re almost required to issue a coffret with minis of all 8. : – )
Yes, that should be a law.
I’m confused about ozone. I read about it in the glossary – smells like the air after a thunderstorm. But I’ve heard alot of people here say they don’t like it. How can that be, if that’s really what it smells like? I LOVE smelling the air after a storm!
I think it’s that fragrance notes that are referred to as “ozonic” don’t smell like the real thing (which is indeed wonderful). Instead, they smell chemical and synthetic to many people.
Oh I see. That’s too bad, cuz I would definitely buy a perfume that really did smell like the real thing. Thanks.
Try some samples of rain or thunderstorm from Demeter.
Does anyone else think these are somewhat stuffy? An association of assassins, or ministry of silly walk, on the other hand…
Nonono. The Guild of Assassins a la Terry Pratchett. If you’re gonna have crime, it might as well be organized crime.
Point taken! But if we are going to be Victorian about it, perhaps we should just call it Fagin.
yes! Finally a reference to Pterry on NST! i knew i could not be the only one with a thing for fumes AND the Discworld 🙂 It would be interesting to ponder about what Granny would wear, or the Patrician for that matter!
Chiming in as another Pterry fan!! My all-time favorite author, bar none.
A scent based on Lord Vetinari would be drop dead sexy.
But surely it would be some sort of transdermal poison!
Love the whole idea of Victorian societies… are they on sale in the UK, or is that too simple?
Sorry, I have no idea.
These reminded me of a Victorian take and locale on Bond No. 9 but generally way more interesting and affordable. I want to try them all and a coffret would be delightful.
I received the Librarians’ League yesterday. Holy Musk Powder, Batman! They’ve managed to get the scent of ‘Shhhhhhhhh’ and glaring over glasses quite effectively.
