Kenzo will launch Flower Tag, a new perfume for women, in June. Flower Tag is a flanker to 2000's Kenzo Flower, and was inspired by femininity and the urban free expression represented by the graffiti tag. It is geared towards "a significantly younger audience".
Flower Tag is a fresh fruity floral; the notes feature mandarin, blackcurrant, rhubarb, jasmine, peony, lily of the valley, tea, vanilla and musk.
Kenzo Flower Tag will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (quote via mailmovement, found/additional information via parfum-femme.prime-beaute)
You know it was only a matter of time…
At this point, nearly any flanker you can imagine is only a matter of time 🙂
Oh no – Kenzo has finally jumped the shark.
This may be perfectly acceptible for the young fruity crowd, but why did they have to attach it to Flower? All the other Flower flankers have been good solid fragrances, and I have most of them. But this? Why? Why? Did they fire all their design team? Couldn’t they come up with a new bottle and just call it Kenzo Tag???
Oh, but we haven’t smelled it yet! They did a fruity version of Amour which wasn’t bad at all, although not really my thing.
Come on people, that’s a great looking bottle!!!
Agree!
First thing I thought too! Stunning design!
Do we have to glorify tagging with a perfume? Two tweens just caused $100,000 worth of damage to stores on the main drag here at 3 A.M. Glad they were caught but the punishment doesn’t nearly make up for the crime. “Flower” and “Tag” do not go together.
A very good point.
Flower Tag, skin tag, tomato, tomahto
Skin tag – haha, spoken like a true nurse! I do think the bottles are great but I am also slightly wary of glorifying deliquent behaviour. Maybe they will bring out a flanker that smells of glue next. Or lighter fuel or printer ink or whatever illicit sniffing material young people are into these days… : – )
I don’t know if anyone is reading this, but I tried it this evening and fell in love!
Although ginger is not among the notes, I can smell it. In fact, it reminds me of Miracle – the original formula, and also of the much loved Le Feu D’Issey. Wonderful, reasonable sillage.
