Annick Goutal will launch Mon Parfum Chéri, par Camille, this September, with a preview at Harrods in early July. The new perfume for women is described as a "very feminine, elegant and mesmerizing fragrance, inspired by Hollywood glamorous actresses".
Mon Parfum Chéri was developed by perfumer Isabelle Doyen; the notes include patchouli, sweet plum, iris, violet and heliotropin.
Annick Goutal Mon Parfum Chéri, par Camille will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Update: see a review of Mon Parfum Chéri, par Camille.
Gosh, that looks and sounds lovely, brief though the details are. As a house I have come to appreciate Annick Goutal more and more. There is such coherence in the line both in terms of its olfactionary style and its presentation (on that subject I wish Patricia de Nicolai would take note).
I couldn’t agree with you more. AG was my first foray into niche (at the time I discovered it in 1994 I believe it truly was niche, although I’m not sure if the same could be said today), and I still have an incredible fondness for the house as a whole. ‘Coherent’ is such an apt word to describe it. ‘Lovely’ would be another. Definitely sounds sniffworthy.
You know, I think they’re no longer niche. But, I like their recent work better….I do think the house is making fragrances that are less mainstream in feel even as they grow in distribution.
Donanicola, I dislike PdNs packaging less than most people, it really doesn’t bother me. BUT, I do think the house would improve sales dramatically if they improved the presentation — not just the packaging, but also the website, the descriptions, everything.
I think I discovered AG at around ’94 also. In fact, I think my affinity for AG preceded my discovery of Guerlain, so I’ll always have a soft spot and special interest for anything that comes out of that house.
Parfums de Nicolai’s juice is about 25% less per ml than Goutal’s (comparing 100 ml bottles) which seems a fair trade to me for less interesting packaging.
Goutal and de Nicolaï are my two favourite houses. I am with Robin on the Nicolaï packaging. I find it very refreshing that a house that delivers such quality fragrances, does not really seem to care to make everything look as sleek as possible. It would however make me sad should they not be able to continue because they were not selling as well as they need to. And PdN has these wonderful 30 ml. bottles.
And I am looking forward to trying the new Goutal!
Am I loony for thinking the PdN bottles are really great? I actually like them a lot, I like how they feel in hand, with the shape and the raised glass emblem thing… (Starting to question own taste.. Do I like ugly things?) I even like that cap. But Ill join on the website, boy is that a relic!
I actually dislike L’Artisan bottles & packaging much more than P d’N.
This one sounds yummy! I I’m a sucker for the black bow too I admit. 😉
It’s a darned cute bow.
T, we may need this. 😉
I don’t mind the PdN packaging a bit! One of my fav. houses.<3
I think it suits them just fine. Plus if they upgraded the whole thing you know the prices would go up dramatically and who wants that? Imho.
I’ll second that – I’d much prefer affordability over the cost to upgrade the pkg/presentation….
Only having a single PdN fragrance (the amazing New York) I must say that the packaging is rather unfortunate – and don’t get me started on that website. It appears that she’s more concerned with the quality of what’s inside the bottle than the bottle itself – which is commendable. And it’s almost as if she worked on the fragrances and then at the last minute remembered, “Oh yeah, I need bottles to put this stuff in, huh?” and then bought a lifetime supply of some closeouts!
PdN changed their website recently, but it’s not much better than the last…
Exactly! They did the same with the packaging: changed it, but no better than it was. It’s kind of endearing.
Love the AG bottles even though most of their fragrances don’t do much for me. …..then the first note listed: patchouli.
oh well, on to the next thing….
I wouldn’t let the patch put you off. Everyone seems to be doing a sanitized and cleaned up version of this note nowadays. And AG doesn’t strike me as the type of line that’s going to do out out a scent that reads too dirty or earthy.
that’s ‘put out a scent’…darned fat fingers.
Love the AG bottles, but patchouli is a big no no. My favs of AG are Quel Amour and Eau de Charlotte. I would only they would last a bit longer…
I LOVE eau de Charlotte & wish it would last longer too…. ephemeral beauty…
More like this, less like Eau d’Hadrien! (The reformulated version, anyway.)
oh, I read this interesting article with one of the annick goutal perfumers, its a great read. Anyway she was asked about the reformulation of eua d’hadrien and said that it is still the same but the concentration has been slightly increased. Here’s a link to grain de musc
http://graindemusc.blogspot.com/2010/02/interview-isabelle-doyen-speaks-of.html
I read that too, but seems like all the Hadrien fans swear up & down it isn’t close to the same. So who knows.
Recently, after reading in your review about the reformulation, while writing for my blog I compared two samples of Eau d’Hadrien – a new one from the store and an older one that I got many years ago. I cannot smell the difference. If there was a reformulation indeed it must be the best one I encountered so far.
Undina,
Thanks for that. I am about to finish off an older bottle and keep wondering whether I should worry about the reformulation before I repurchase.
I do not think you read it in a review here, as I’ve never compared new & old.
I don’t give a damn about packaging or whether a fragrance line can be called niche or not. And patch? Bring it on, baby. I am definitely going to get this when it comes out. I have a lot of respect for AG, and love a lot of their fragrances. My favorite, though, is Heure Exquise.
Heure Exquise is my favourite too, but then it’s the only Goutal that I have ever really loved. Many of them look and smell terrific, and demand to be loved, but somehow I don’t love them. I’m not sure why that is. They seem over-designed, in all senses, somehow. Just me, I know.
Can’t wait to find out more about the smell! Sounds like AG is going retro.
I may be the only one who doesn’t like that black ribbon which looks like the pinstripes of a suit. Black is such a mournful color especially when paired with the dark colored glass. This must be one heavy/rich scent….
I’m with you on the bow–reminds me of a girl I went to college with who dressed TRULY goth–long, lacy black dresses with parasols and such! Maybe I should just try to think of it as Tim Burton-esque rather than sullen?
*squeezes eyes into squint while concentrating hard*
Mmm. This sounds great. I wonder if it will resemble Natori with less of the amber going on? AG was one of my gateway houses, too, and I’ve liked most everything I’ve tried so far, though haven’t tried the beloved Rose Splendide yet. 🙂 But Musc Nomade, Eau d’Hadrien in the edp and Songes in the edp are regulars in my rotation. 🙂 I can’t wait to try this.
I don’t know if it’s the color of the bottle or the color of the juice, but I love it! It looks like black cherry soda (on my monitor). AG does such lovely scents, although I had a bottle of La Violette and it smelled exactly like paint thinner for some reason.
*happy dance*
Oh yes, this looks fabulous and I love patchouli!
Too bad the EDP only comes in the 100ml.
I can see an echo of L’Heure Bleue, but the patchouli note will give it a twist. Patchouli is not my favourite, but I am really eager to see how the Goutal House, a really feminine and elegant house indeed, will bring to life those Hollywood myths. I am already imagining myself wearing it a night out at the opera 🙂
Everything sounds gorgeous except the patchouli….I can’t do patchouli unless it’s so well-blended that it’s nearly undetectable. Will sniff when I have the chance, though! And of course, looking forward to the NST review 🙂
Love the colour scheme! Wonder if this might be a bit like Indult Isvaraya? If the heliotrope isn’t too marked, I’d give it a go for sure.
God, I love the look of the bottle and that black ribbon screams sexy lingerie. Looks very retro and I’ll definitely being giving this one a try, sounds intense and glamourous, hope the patchouli isn’t too too patchouli(ish).
As time passes, I love Goutals more and more. 2010 ended up being the year of Goutal for me as I picked up a number of the fragrances. I truly appreciate how artful they are, even if some of them don’t agree with me – ack, Le Mimosa – cumin on over-ripe peaches. I think I have about 9 Goutals, and Heure Exquise is one of my HG fragrances. I would love to get my hands on the discontinued Eau de Monsieur too. Anyway… I look forward to testing this one, and maybe I’ll love it too. There is too little info on the notes list, as there is certainly going to be much more in the juice! I like the bottle, I like the ribbon. Fingers crossed!
Hi AnnS, so glad to see I’m not the only one to get a hit of cumin out of the Mimosa. A shame, as I so wanted to love it.
I, too, have been fond of the Goutals for many years, in particular Eau de Camille, Ciel and Nuits d’Hadrien. Will be on the lookout for this one as well.
I have to say that Le Mimosa was one of three Oh-My-God-Scrubber! moments I’ve ever had testing fragrances. It doesn’t happen to me often. I try and be scientific and open minded about cumin even though I rarely ever like it in a fragrance. But LM came off very strident to me – just as if someone had spilled a huge pile of cumin on a very wet ripe peach by accident, and then still tried to eat it. I thought the drydown was nice, but there was no way I’d wait through that opening. It was truly awful for me. And I really so much wanted to like it! It doesn’t take much for me to get an excuse to buy a new Goutal.
Heure Exquise is my super fav of the line, but I am also very fond of Mandragore and M Pourpre, Eau de Ciel, Vanille Exquise, Songes, Ce Soir ou Jamais, Neroli, Hadrien… I am hemming and hawing about Duel now for a few months, and I often covet the moon and stars Songes bottle, although I’d never get through it…. And I like Sables too even though I don’t plan to own it b/c I only need a microscopic drop to wear.
I am not a Goutal Feminine fan usually but fell in love with this one. Very dark compared to the brand’s usual range. The sa told me her normal customers are not liking it. I loved it on first sniff and rushed to buy a bottle. Lots of patchouli with hints of rich juicy plum with hints of violet and iris. I was only able to get the edt but really would love the edp in the future.
