This month, Reminiscence launches Sea Rem, a new fragrance in the Rem series of marine fragrances. Sea Rem was inspired by the island of Mykonos.
Sea Rem was developed by perfumer Céline Ripert; the notes include violet, thyme, licorice, muguet, red algae, May rose, patchouli, benzoin, vanilla, white musk, boxwood and sandalwood.
Reminiscence Sea Rem will be available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (via beaute-addict, faubourg-des-femmes)
I have been curious about the original Rem fragrance for awhile now (same bottle and packaging). Anyone tried it?
Yes. And I know it has lots of fans, but I”m just not generally an aquatic fan. So I have nothing to say.
Violet, thyme and licorice sound nice. . .too bad I have 0 interest in smelling “marnine.” Sounds too much like “fresh,” “aqua,” or anything else that ends up blue.
“Marine” (insert slow-mo “NOOOoooo” as I reach for computer post- “post comment”)
I don’t love the category either.
Red algee as in the red algee that keeps everyone out of the ocean?!
Beats me!
I love the color of that bottle.
And, I just noticed that little mermaid!!
How cute is that?
Muguet, licorice, algae, violet-I’d probably love it but have never heard of this fragrance company. Is it available in Canada? Red algae can be toxic to humans if ingested during a bloom. Some years are worse than others. I don’t eat raw oysters anymore for this reason.
It’s a French company, and sorry but don’t know if it’s sold in Canada.
So safety standards won’t allow oak moss in perfume but toxic red algae is perfectly fine!
I don’t think there’s much reason to think there is real extract of red algae in there.
