Perry Ellis has launched Perry Ellis Love, a new perfume for women:
Bold, refreshing and sensual, Perry Ellis Love opens with vibrant citrus notes, fresh white pepper and uplifting bergamot mist, blooming into a floral bouquet of rose, plumeria and water lily blossoms. Creamy Madagascar vanilla, sugared musk and ripe beach plums add a touch of sweetness while being embraced by the seductive notes of patchouli and sandalwood. Engage in the sweet, sensual side of Perry Ellis Love with this Fragrance Collection for Women.
Perry Ellis Love is available now at Macy's, in 50 or 100 ml Eau de Parfum. (via macys)

Gosh that Perry Ellis bottle has no imagination looks DOA this will soon be at TJ Max.
I agree that neither the notes nor the look seem to be reaching for originality. Sadly, IMO it probably also means people will buy it!
Pretty sure that’s the same bottle they used for Perry Ellis Woman a few years ago.
It has been a while since I’ve heard the name Perry Ellis. One company, at least, is not flooding the market with a million flankers. Good for them! Hopefully it will show up at TJ Maxx. I found Bulgari Omnia there today for $29.00. Love that place! My question is: what the heck is a “beach plum”?
Beach plum is a type of plum native to the upper East Coast of the U.S.

I am not sure how to put that in so that it links properly, but if you go to Wikipedia and look up “beach plum” it will take you to the article.
OK, I guess the link works after all. I couldn’t tell when I pasted it in.
Good price on the Omnia!
That Demeter Vetiver sounds worth seeking out!
Yeah the Demeter one sounds worth the try. Will be especially nice for Spring.
I think they have a “regular” vetiver too…would be interesting to try them together.
What’s really sad is that the “Perry Ellis Love” doesn’t sound like anything Perry Ellis would have put his name on. But of course, I am old enough to actually remember Perry Ellis (and Carmelo Pomodoro and Willi Smith, and…) unlike the pretty young things who will be buying it; they wouldn’t know Perry Ellis from Halston.
This just depresses me.
They should call it “Feldenkreis Love” — it has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Perry Ellis the designer. Ugh. Corporate culture is ruining a lot of things, not the least of which is good perfumery and a dead designer’s image.
