Ferrari has launched Scuderia, a new woody aromatic fragrance for men fronted by Fernando Alonso.
Ferrari has always been the synonym of passion, action, performance, speed, innovation and incessant tension to achieve excellence; now all these values are expressed by this new Scuderia Ferrari perfume, affirming its own unicity.
Scuderia Ferrari is fresh, aromatic, woody and with a strong personality:a scent reflecting the spirit and emotion that Ferrari and its values call forth. The scent is particularly fresh, with sparkling notes and a core that enhances the fruity and definite tones.
Scuderia was developed by perfumer Karine Dubreuil; the notes include lemon, lavender, mint, black pepper, rosemary, cardamom, geranium, black tea, musk, cedar wood, tonka bean and amber.
Ferrari Scuderia is available in 50, 75 and 126 ml Eau de Toilette. (quote via store.ferrari, additional information via wwd)
This is a real “performance” fragrance…not designed for wearing while you go to the supermarket for a quart of milk. For that you need more of an everyday fragrance. The web site is very cool…not sure if they deliver in USA.
Thanks!
Sounds interesting. I would like to give it a sniff to see if hubby would wear it.
Okay since we are talking car scents.. shame moment.. I actually really like Hummer. I think it is quite sexy.
Hey, why not?
The porsche design ones are also well done.
That’s what I’ve heard…
The box looks EXACTLY like a carton of cigarettes.
The word “unicity” is actually a word (it means “uniqueness”), but incredibly rare, something that appears only, I think, in bad translations, which is sort of adorable.
I know, I looked it up because I was *sure* it was not a real word….
I hope that name means something good in another language… it’s horrible in English.
It’s not horrible to me… just silly-sounding, akin to ‘scooter’ or ‘scoot.’
I just looked it up and it means ‘stable’… which is a very weird connotation I think. However, there’s also this (learn something new every day):
“Scuderia basically translates to a stable, mainly a stable of racing horses. It’s an older Italian word originally used for racehorse stables, but now adaped for automobile racing “teams”. So for instance, Scuderia Ferrari, as used in Formula 1 Racing, means Ferrari Racing Stable or loosely, Team.”
You’re exactly right about “scuderia.” But if it don’t smell like gasoline, I ain’t buying it.
I was too lazy…thanks! I was hoping there was a reasonable explanation. 🙂 (Can I have some leather with that gasoline?)
I need to add SMN Nostalgia to the list of samples to send you.
Speaking of car scents, but to tangent off the topic… Ford Motors is looking for a scent to use in branding future cars. http://www.forbes.com/forbes/2010/0913/outfront-ford-motor-autos-scent-smelled-ford-lately.html Anyone want to start imagining what Ford Motors: The Scent would smell like?
