Last year, Fragonard launched three new perfumes for women:
Marché aux Fleurs (shown above) ~ "A magnificent floral, fruity mixture of melon and blackcurrant with a hint of sweet pea, lily of the valley, vineyard peach along with a lasting scent of jasmine, orange blossom and musk that lingers..."
Bleu Riviera ~ "Memories of a Mediterranean excursion along the French Riviera: osmanthus colored with sea spray scented notes of rose, jasmine, lilac, lily-of-the-valley and shades of amber and musk."
Riviera Riviera ~ A celebration of the fruits of the Côte d'Azur, with notes of citron, bergamot, orange, petitgrain, neroli, white tea, jasmine, benzoin, sandalwood and white musk.
Fragonard Marché aux Fleurs, Bleu Riviera and Riviera Riviera are available in 50 ml Eau de Toilette. (via fragonard, additional information via beaute-addict)
I love the bottles and packaging!
Agree — really cute. All 3 of these are in similar bottles/boxes.
The box for Marche aux Fleurs is just gorgeous. (Wish I’d bought a bottle of Billet Doux while it was available…)
They still make it though (?)
Nope, it’s d’c.
Or maybe was a LE? Anyway, it’s no longer on their site.
Okay…. just went to check again, and now it’s BACK. It was gone the last three times I checked it (okay, so that was in December).
Gotcha. Maybe they just ran out.
Reminds me a bit of the Miller Harris packaging. The first one sounds awful, but the others could be ok.
It does have that same wildflower look!
I actually find the packaging (mainly the lettering) to look more geared to young teens or even kids. Agree with Boojum that the first sounds like a fruity-floral mess. I think I’d really like Bleu Riviera’s concept of osmanthus and sea spray if the other floral notes are barely there.
Has Fragonard launched anything memorable in the last decade?
I don’t know if I’d go so far as “memorable”. I liked the Confidentiel set but it didn’t sell. Some of the scents in the naturals collection are nice. I never get to try the vast majority of what they make, so I ought not answer at all I guess!
I’d love the outer packaging as wallpaper. Would be lovely in a guest bath or small bedroom.
These are not “new” scents, just new to the general market. I am already on my second bottle of Riviera Riviera, which I bought three years ago at the factory store in Grasse. Marche aux Fleurs is very *floral* but fine for a summer night. Riviera Riviera is like a good cologne–very citrus, not too long lasting–I love to wear it in the summer heat. And, best of all, they remind me of a wonderful week on the Cote d’Azur. The packaging is charming and the small squared-off bottles are very pretty indeed. Now I have to have Bleu Riviera to complete my collection!
Thanks Jepster. I’m not suprised…it’s nearly impossible to keep track of what Fragonard is releasing these days — their website is neither up to date nor informative. They did “announce” these last year to the press, but they’ve only recently put 2 of the 3 on their own website.
I should also note that the design is on the bottle (not a label), so they look really sweet. Low cost, it is worth it for the pretty factor even if you are not crazy about the juice (I happen to like the juice myself)!
Oh, good — assumed it was a label.
Love the packaging (so pretty!). I stopped reading #1 after the words “floral, fruity mixture of melon” since melon is a no-go for me. #s 2 and 3 sound like possibilities though.
Billet Doux, does that have a dominant carnation note or am I thinking of something else?
I have not smelled it, sorry!
Yep, carnation.
I’m quite sure there was a guest soap of Marche aux Fleurs at the hotel I’ve stayed in Grasse this summer. It was a classy green floral, and, well, soapy.
Sounds fitting!
They all sound worth a sniff – now if i could just get to France to try them in person!
Exactly!
