Brazilian company Perfumaria Phebo has launched a trio of new perfumes featuring vintage-inspired art deco packaging:
Carnaval (shown) ~ "Sensuous and classic, this contemporary fragrance combines the radiance of the freesia and bergamot, the harmony and majesty of the rose and the gardenia, and the spicyness [sic] of the black pepper." Additional notes include green leaves, jasmine, muguet, amber, musk and sandalwood.
Lichia e Pimenta (lychee and pepper) ~ "A sofisticated [sic] and contrasting combination of hot and cold notes, this floral fragrance unites the delicious and delicate aromas of the jasmin and lychee, with a delicious wooden and musky finish." Additional notes include bergamot, green leaves, rose pepper, lily, peony, rose, amber, cedar, vanilla and musk.
Rosa Imperial ~ "Inspired by the rose, known by many as the personification of femininity, the perfume Emperial rose has a delightful and harmonic aroma, that unites feminine floral fragrances with sensuose [sic] wooden and musky accords." With fresh and aldehydic notes, rose, gardenia, jasmine, vetiver, sandalwood and musk.
Perfumaria Phebo Carnaval, Lichia e Pimenta and Rosa Imperial are available in Brazil in 100 ml, concentration unknown. (via press release)
I like the bottle.
Me too.
Purty packaging! I might try Carnaval, given the chance.
The labels are perfect … love the look.
Ditto, across the board. Maybe Rickbr can give us a report. 😀
I’ll try them and come back to tell you. There’s a Phebo shop on my way to getting home after the work. Carnaval looks promising!
i wish i could try Carnaval too. i would so much like to find a scent that is real freesia, but no luck yet. tried demeter freesia and Ofresia from dyptique, lovely scents but not what I get from real freesia…
Agree, there really isn’t such a thing.
Not sure I’ll ever see these, but I think it was determined that this is the company that made Kevin’s famously beloved rosewood soap.
I think that’s right. They also made those adorable perfumes for Isabela Capeto.
Yes, they made that wonderful rosewood soap I loved, K
Kevin, is your beloved soap a dark one? If it’s the classical phebo, he is still produced here in Brazil. And it isn’t expensive.
I think that’s right. Phebo is a very famous soap maker in Brazil. They had, for years, an almost-black translucent soap that was the standard at my mother’s house. A bit later they created a whole line of differently-scented soaps, but I’m not sure how many of those still survive.
Maybe I can get one of my Brazilian friends to send me some bottles…
If you try them, do let us know!
They have a site:https://www.granado.com.br/produtos/default.aspx
To see the line of fragrances, lick on the homepage on the link Linha de Produtos, Perfumaria Phebo. It’ll open another page. Then you can see then on the session Perfume (or click on this link: https://www.granado.com.br/produtos/linha.aspx?cod_categoria=74&cod_linha=27). They cost 110 reais each one, which is around 63 dollars.
Thanks! That’s spendier than I would have guessed.
My husband is bringing back a bottle of the Lichia e Pimenta!! Hope I love it! He’s also bringing back some of the Pour Toi no. 9 perfume from La Facon and some Benjoim talc from Granado pharmacy.
