Israel-based bath & beauty company Sabon has launched a new range of fragrances under the name Essence of Pleasure. There are six "daily perfumes" and two "boutique perfumes". The daily perfumes are:

I’ve been longing to try some of Sabon’s products, particularly their vanilla shower oil. I wonder if these scents are available in sample sizes? All of them sound at least sniff worthy save for Sabon Femme since I’ve got some powdery vanillas like Alessandro and Armande Sucree already. But I’d love to try these. I don’t think there are any Sabon boutiques near the thrumming metropolis that is Kalamazoo Michigan, so online it is. 😉
I didn’t see samples on the website, but maybe I missed it? They’re very reasonably priced so it would be nice to try them.
I was in their shop in NYC on Sunday. They did not seem to have any samples available, which was fine since I did not enjoy any of their fragrances. They were all quite flat and smelled of inexpensive ingredients.
Thanks Ben!
Yes, thank you, Ben. So they must have invested primarily in the bottles and packaging, which I find very fetching.
They have a NYC shop? Please tell where!
There’s more than 1 in NYC:

When I see sandalwood, I get so excited!
🙂
I like the sound of Zer and Shir!
I like the boutique bottle better. Affordable too at that price.
They’re very affordable, which is a nice change.
Never heard of them. But there’s plenty of good things out there that I’ve never heard of so that really means just about nothing.
These sound nice (inoffensive & pleasant) , though kind of routine….
I really shouldn’t be so negative but I’m so tired of all the “collections” that are being released. It’s overwhelming and frustrating and how can you really pay attention to soooo many at once?
Although it is refreshing to see something new under $100 .
All the official sources say fragrance releases are down this year, but they’re all crazy. There’s more new perfume than ever…just not in the department stores.
I want to try these! I like the way they suggest what time of the day they’re for too. \the first six sound the best, I think.
It’s a shame they’re not selling samples.
Sabon Femme gives me a headache. Again, I wonder why-
It feels very thick or heavy.
What a shame!
I think they redid Oneg, which is now their signature Patchouli Lavender Vanilla. I have to say I did not expect much but bought some of their products while in Israel and they are simply amazing, especially at the price point. The body and bath products and the PLV scent are wonderful. My absolute favorite was the PLV deodorant, enough sillage even for a perfume and wow the scent. It really does leave you sweat free and you wake up the next morning wondering what smells so awesome on you. It sure has lasting power. Also, it is more spicey than sweet, more patch but tamed down by the sweetness of vanilla and twisted with the lavender. Of course just now they are discontinuing the deodorant but wondering if they are remaking it under the name Oneg. I did order the reformulated Oneg EDT and lots of PLV bath and body products. It was that good and the great thing is you can have an entire array of products to combine for around 100 including just about everything from hand cream to bath and body, EDT and sanitizer even. I am excited, when I get this perfume, will update on this supposedly reformulated one.
