Later this month, Italian fashion house Brioni will launch an eponymous limited edition fragrance for men, their first since the 1950s:
An intense and sophisticated fragrance with sparkling notes of bergamot from Calabria and lemon from Sicily that diffuse a sensation of luminous freshness; while the aromatic notes of lavender and verbena, combined with accents of nutmeg, galbanum, patchouli and vetyver, wrapped with sensual notes of tonka bean and oak moss, evoke quiet elegance.
The bottles will be presented in hand made leather cases. I will update with sizes and concentration when I can find them. (via brioni, found via fr.fashionmag)
Update: Brioni will be available in 100 ml spray (£250) or 300 ml splash (£520) Eau de Parfum. (via wwd)
Nice leather cases! I am guessing that these will be molti costosi.
Yeah, I would think so, although I don’t know a thing about the brand.
Brioni designed suits for James Bond/007 movies and has an incredible list of famous clientèle.
From the beginning, Brioni suits were luxuries only afforded to the privileged few, namely Europe’s wealthy aristocrats. Celebrities such as Clark Gable and Cary Grant[1] began to buy their suits from Brioni in the 1950s when working at Rome’s Cinecitta studios.[2] New York crime boss of the Gambino crime family John Gotti earned the nickname Dapper Don after his extensive wardrobe of custom Brioni suits. Today, Brioni is a favourite of real estate mogul Donald Trump. It is rumoured that a Middle Eastern sultan once ordered a staggering 100 suits from Brioni all in one month.

Thanks!
Brioni used to be a posh men’s taylor in Milan. Now they’ve gone in for pret-a-a porter. though they still do some (crazily priced) custom ( or nearly custom) made men’s wear. Never heard they were particularly distinguished on the creative side, they’re rather in the Savile row-replica line . Not very likely to rock the fragrance world with a revolutionary creation, but you never can tell. You can, though, tell that whatever it is will be monstrously overpriced for what it is.
Thanks so much for the background!
