True Religion has launched True Religion Men (shown above left), the masculine counterpart to last year's True Religion for Women:
A modern and timeless fougere that breaks all the rules with a surprising citrus and herbal aromatic introduction. Moss and patchouli provide a darkly rugged feel with a vintage vibe. A masculine brew that demands attention. Fougere. The essential masculine structure. Never out of style the classic elegance of the fougere continues to evoke pure masculinity, combining classic perfumery ingredients with modern accents. Aligns perfectly with the character of True Religion. A timeless classic creation needs no explanation and is unapologetically easy.
True Religion Man is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching grooming products, and can be found now at Macy's. (via macys)
French surfwear brand Oxbow has launched Oxbow Pour Homme (shown above right), a new woody aromatic fragrance for men.
The fragrance notes feature citron, orange, tarragon, lavender, petitgrain, oregano, jasmine, geranium, vetiver, musk and patchouli.

Question: Is the True Religion one a fougere? If there’s anything “surprising” about it, I will be shocked, but my curiosity is piqued.
Never heard of the Oxbow brand — that list of notes could be in anything but they sound fairly good to me on paper (must be that I rarely see jasmine or geranium in newer mainstream men’s scents).
Both those bottles are pretty dang hypermasculine.
Well it says it’s a fougere, but I can’t verify…
I didn’t get to try either of last year’s Oxbox scents (one of which was called Oxbow Pour Homme, I thought, which seems confusing) but they had nice packaging too…not quite so overtly masculine as this one.
Sorry, my first question was a joke because they kept repeating the word fougere through that one small paragraph.
LOL…thought that was a very odd question & couldn’t figure out why you were asking it since they repeat it over & over. Duh, sorry!
A timeless classic needs no grammar or rhythm, apparently. I like the bottle, though. 🙂
It’s oddly clipped, isn’t it? I like the bottle too, although when I saw the women’s in person I was not impressed.
The bottle is an almost exact copy of Cacharel Pour L’Homme, silver-plated and buried in a pit for a couple of years. Since they’re both obviously inspired by a classic flask shape, I guess that’s no surprise: there are only so many variations you can play on that theme.
I like the idea of “buried in a pit for a couple years” though. Maybe all masculines should be buried in a pit for a couple years before release.
And maybe they’ll forget where a few are buried and thus reduce the mindnumbing number of launches. Come to think of it, maybe all feminines should be buried in a pit too…
Works for me!
The bottle for Oxbow Pour Homme is so pretty…wintery!
Yes, it is nicely done.
Love your user name!
The words “A masculine brew that demands attention.” is not something that inspires me to make a purchase. I want to demand attention, not my “brew”!
Doubt it will turn out to be anything that would steal the show 😉
Love the color and bottle of the Oxbow one… seems very Tactile and Lucid… might give it a sniff just for that reason but the notes sound Scintillatiing as well so am surely going to search this one out!
am Eager for the True Religion… Hope it is as nice as the Womens Version (which i heard lots of unimpressive things about but was actually very VERY pleased with the scent. Very Romantic and Soft and Womanly! and I LIKE the Bottle for the womens very much!) but again, the desription for the TR for men is Vague on the border of being non-existent. i hate that! give me something TR people to dream about and imagine in my head! URGH!
It would have been nice if they’d included the notes, agree.
