Annick Goutal will launch Un Matin d’Orage, a new gardenia-focused fragrance for women, in February.
The new fragrance is "meant to channel the ambiance of a Japanese garden after a storm", according to Camille Goutal:
The idea is to imagine yourself in a Japanese garden — not a Buddhist Zen-type place, but a real garden with lots of greenery — and smell the plants, leaves and white flowers after a storm as the sun creates a scented mist.
Un Matin d'Orage also pays tribute to Gardénia Passion, one of the brand's top sellers.
Like the other recent fragrances in the Annick Goutal lineup, Un Matin d'Orage was developed by perfumer Isabelle Doyen; the notes include gardenia, Sicilian lemon, perilla leaves, ginger, magnolia, jasmine sambac, champaca and sandalwood.
I will update with sizes and concentration when I can find them.
