Joop! will introduce Joop! Thrill, a new duo of fragrances for men and women, this coming February. The scents aim to capture the excitement of an urban adventure by night.
Joop! Thrill Woman was developed by perfumer Alexandra Kosinski, and features fresh dew, peach, lily, mimosa, iris, vanilla, tonka bean and sandalwood. It will be available in 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products.
Joop! Thrill Man was developed by perfumer Christophe Raynaud, and includes frozen lavender, bergamot, Granny Smith apple, woods, vanilla, sandalwood and amber. It will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette and matching grooming products.

The notes sound less than thrilling to me.
Still, I can´t take my eyes off that back– I mean, bottle. 😉
Will try it as soon as they arrive (probably in March to Buenos Aires)
I don't think I have ever smelled a Joop and I don't think I will start here…
I have a mini of Joop Muse and that isn't thrilling either – an inoffensive but ultimately ho-hum lily-based floral.
“Frozen lavender”. I want to give some copy-writer a frozen slap in the face. Enough of this nonsense!
That print ad makes me think “She's Very Charlie!”…
It isn't a bad back 😉
Tama, I haven't either.
Seems like I've seen frozen lavender several times lately — must be some specific aroma chemical, maybe??
Yes!!
Actually the copywriter is doing a much better job than the perfumer.
Few perfumistas can claim, like The Mistress of Spices, “Equal love to all, particular to none”. Most have a favorite fragrance or fragrance group. Still, as a perfumista one must be able to recognise a well-made fragrance, favorite or not.
Joop copywriters never failed to convince me to sample the fragrances – and Joop creations never failed to disappoint me.
Hence, the first sentence 🙂
The original Joop was SO not mundane. I wonder why all the flankers seem so toned down
While I had thankfully moved on, I had a bottle of the original Joop Homme back in the early nineties. The juice is pink and the fragrance itself can only be described as sticky-sweet; bergamot, cinnamon, honey, honeysuckle, orange blossom and jasmine all thrown together to produce a scent so heavy and thick that it would immediately suck the air out of any room I entered. Looking back on this, I truly have no idea what I was thinking! But I suppose we all have our fragrance faux pas, no?
LOL — nice logic!
Is this one a flanker? I didn't think it was (?)
I've heard good things about at least one of the Joop scents, and now I'm trying to remember if that was it? Sadly, I can't call it up.
