I adore the price point on this one–unfortunately I remember trying Pink Frangipani and being rather disappointed. Nonetheless, with such a cute little bottle and small wallet denting potential, I will definitely try to sample this!
I don´t have access to this line.
I love Jasmine, and It sounds interesting, but the pineapple ruins it for me (in theory)
How does Australian Jasmine compare to say Annick Goutal's soliflore jasmine? A.G. too sweet and strong to me- But I like Flesh's Pink Jasmine, which is as sweet as I like.
This fragrance has: Pretty bottle. Great price. Favorite flowers.
But I am also fearful of the pineapple. I have liked this note in some fragrances, as long as it is a light note. Is it ?
joy,
Becca
I don't know Becca, I haven't smelled this one.
I ordered a decant of this from theperfumedcourt.com–I’m a floral fan, was looking for a fragrance with a real white ginger note, and was excited when I found this one. It arrived this afternoon and I’ve been trying to decide whether I like it or not.
It starts out very sweet, almost like a candied pineapple. There’s a bit of a white ginger too but, disappointingly, it doesn’t last long. The sweetness fades a little after a while and the magnolia takes over–in fact I would say that the magnolia note is the strongest. There’s a note that reminds me of peony as well. Maybe Australian jasmine is different from the jasmines I know but I have to say that I really can’t pick up much of a jasmine note.
I like sweet fragrances but if you don’t then this one is definitely not for you. It’s light and doesn’t last very long–in fact I’m surprised at its being listed as an EDP, it seems like an EDT or even an EDC to me.
Sounds like it is not for me — thanks for the detailed description!
